When I was a child, I would stay up all night just to watch our first moon rockets crash into the moon, taking pictures all the way. I would sit by the TV and watch Americans in orbit, and never missed a minute.

Now, in my 60’s, I can only watch Russia and China fulfill our dreams.

Libs hate our space program b/c we made the mistake of painting the American flag on our craft and planting the American flag on the moon. It should have been the UN flag, or no flag at all.

What flag will Russia and China use?

The real mistake was saying "We come in peace for all mankind".

What we should have said, in the manner of every explorer in history:

"I claim thee for The United States of America!"

I'm not naïve enough to think we could keep all of it, but I bet it would have touched off a real space race!
