Also I believe it was actually in keeping with the tenor of her oath of office. It was to the good of Alaska’s constitution that she removed herself from being a conduit of Alaska’s own resources being sucked dry. Didn't you get the memo? Politicians are now supposed to cling to power and suck the taxpayer dry regardless of the circumstances surrounding them. Resigning gracefully from office used to be a virtue, but is now frowned upon. I didn't know FReepers embraced elements of the Democratic Party.
