You are absolutely, 100% correct. We can no longer put our hopes and trust in politicians to do what is right. Just look how Collins and Snowe allowed the unemployment extension to pass. Make no mistake, though, if they wouldn’t have voted for it two other Republicans would have come forward in support. As Rush was saying yesterday, they are ALL members of the “ruling class” and we are but peons...

You can cry blasphemy to the end of time and I truly don’t give a flying anymore but exactly what has Rush done to help you except make himself a very wealthy man, that being the only part I really don’t care about, capitalism and all. He sat in the “Attila the Hun” chair for 20 years and in those 20 years he did nothing to motivate the base. Oh, yeah, you could nod your head in agreement with his pearls of wisdom. It took a financial reporter to ignite the spark of growing discontent while Rush advised to keep your heads down and keep working while leading the “Conservatives don’t do those things” mantra.
Glenn Beck, for all his annoying affectations at least organized fora and gatherings for people to meet. Oh, I’m forgetting Dan’s bake sale.
To end this segment, every once in a while Rush would tell the story of what the Founding Fathers sacrificed; their property, their families, their lives. What great men they were were. He brags about the money he would lose as a member of Congress or Senate or dog-catcher.
I could spit nails ...
