NET Neutrality and Internet Restrictions Coming Soon!
Fox News ^ | 6/17/2010

Posted on 06/17/2010 11:04:29 AM PDT by woodb01

Without spending a lot of time going into the details, read this teaser from Fox News. 3 DEMOCRATS have decided to REVISIT Internet Regulations that were abandoned in 1992. Do I hear "net neutrality" and press restrictions coming soon? Only the REPUBLICANS opposed the action. Part of the Obama / Chavez plan to restrict dissent on the takeover by the hardcore left.

Are you ready? This is just the beginning...

Get Ready! NOTHING short of full - blown power-hungry insanity can be expected from Democrats.

Dare we call this what it really is? Treason? An attempt to deliberately destroy and dismantle America from within?

This is a good thing. I want to have access to the internet and not have to pay extra to Verizon just because I am a small time user.

Don’t believe the BULLSHIT being spread about Net Neutrality, folks, it is a very positive thing for free expression on the internet.

Time to set up a telephone chain to get news out. Not sure exactly how to keep it going. We’re gonna have to do something because between ‘net neutrality and radio “neutrality” it will be tough to get the truth.

If I'm not mistaken, the FCC was slapped down by the federal courts for trying to implement Net Neutrality. The court ruled they did not have the authority. I have a feeling this is an attempt to avoid that court decision, essentially they are attempting to “re-regulate” the internet and then go back to the court and say now we can implement Net Neutrality because we have given ourselves the authority. I may be mistaken, but I don't think the courts will look to favorable on this approach. The original decision was pretty clear that only congress could grant them the authority to implement net neutrality.

Don’t be confused by the current actions of the Obamao administration. The government stepping in to control the internet is not about Net Neutrality...these are two different issues which Obamao is trying to confuse the public over and step in with more big government control in the name of keeping it open. Typical lying business as usual from him.

Please add me to the list of ‘Volunteers to Vanuatu’. Shouldn’t take me more than 7-8 months to sail there.

Why doesn't a private company like Verizon have the right to tell the end user what ports they allow or don't thru THEIR network?

And you REALLY think that the Democrats (i.e. the FASCISTS) really care about the Supreme Court? Their objective is POWER! Pure, fanatical, insane POWER! They do not care how they get it, they do not care who is destroyed in the process, and with them, the ends justify the means. If they gain enough POWER they will simply replace the entire Supreme Court....
