Now beckysueb you’re the one that thinks the fact that her older brother solo-circumnavigated the world at 16-17 was a “piece of cake”....I’ll take all futher comments from you with that in mind...As for what I’ve done today, I played three sets of tennis in 95 degree weather....the difference between you an I is the fact that I don’t criticize people who raise seven children in an intact family...one of which has already solo-circumnavigeted the world (”piece of cake” according to you), home school them, and then have their daughter almost duplicate the feat. You hate them for their wealth and achievement...whereas I applaud them...I’m not jealous of their success, I enjoy my own success on a different level.
I said I read it in an article. The writer said it was a piece of cake compared to the time of year that Abby tried it. She said it was the difference in climbing Mt. Everest or some other mountain. The writer also said that the Austrailian girl took a shorter easier route. I wish I could remember whose blog it was. It was a thread on FR from this morning. So it wasn’t according to me, it was according to someone else. You Abby supporters need to get a grip.
What wealth? This is all on someone elses dime.
Zac Sunderland sailing speedily along as parents sink deeper into debt
But this has not been easy on Zac's parents. Laurence Sunderland, a shipwright whose business has suffered because of the recession, reluctantly conceded in an interview that the odyssey has cost about $140,000, and that the family is sinking hopelessly into debt and now must pay for Zac's passage through the Panama Canal.
Laurence probably has not shared this information with Zac, and said he'd never ask his son's many followers for financial assistance. But I noted long ago that there's a "Help support Zac's World Adventure" link on the left column of his website. Maybe there are fans willing to help out?
The long list of Abby's sponsors has been posted too.
“You hate them for their wealth and achievement...”
They are NOT wealthy.
