No. This is a lame decision. Teach the kids what the flag means, instead of banning it. Yes. The safety of students comes first. Not sure, but of all things to ban, the American flag would seem the least 'incendiary.' Other (post a comment)

We should take any American kid who wants to ban the flag, and their families and ship them to the place they most desire to be as long as it isnt in the United States.

It goes without saying that we should take any non American kids and their parent oue of the country.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? No freaking context for this on their website but the questions seem to indicate an underlying issue. Why didn't I get the memo?

I've stopped taking part in these thundering herd polls that seem to be little more than a controversial tease to get both sides ramping up the page hit count. IANAS

Kids show know that each stitch in our glorious flag is soaked in the blood of those who have given life or limb to keep her free and sovereign. Fly it high and proudly, whole and untattaered, symbol of wholesome honor, and united strength. God has blessed America. Now it is time for America to bless God!

Isn’t this argument similar to Rand Paul’s argument against the Cvil Right’s act. That private individuals should be allowed to be racist if they want. The left were outraged, but see no contradiction when they think ppl should be allowed to burn the flag

“You have been banned so it said?”

Humble knows the secret of the coffee, and even now is raising an army of undead deer to let loose upon.. I think it was the local shopping mall.

I vote yes, and insist they enforce it in any municipal, state or federal institution. I vote they take down ALL flags on government property. That will be the ignition point. Do it, please.

There is a link to the video “Flag Controversy” at the bottom of the page. Basically a High School in California would not let students wear clothing or display anything with an American Flag on it on Cinco de Mayo although they alowed students to wear and display Mexican Flags. Students who wore clothing with an American Flag were sent home and suspended. There were no threats of violence, but the Mexican students said they were being disrespected by students who showed American flags on the day that honors Mexico.

Why we have to put up with this crap is beyond me. Are going to have American flags banned on Fidel Castros birthday, or Bistille Day? Yesterday I was at the dollar store near my home and they had a bunch of Mexican flag stuff and American flag stuff displayed nearby. The people of hispanic decent who couldn’t speak english shopping along side me didn’t seem to mind. They were chattering away happily and loudly without a care in the world. Why are these school kids being taught that it is alright to be intollerant of American Flags on a Mexican holiday?

This wasn’t about banning flags on all government property, it was about suspending kids who came to school with clothing that had an American flag displayed. You are a veteran and think that the American Flag shouldn’t be allowed on public property? What Navy did you serve in? If the American Flag is going to be “the ignition point” then maybe it is time for the fighting to start. Or do you think it would be better to wait until people who pledge their allegance to another country are in the majority here? Explain please!

I was being sarcastic and extrapolating. Sorry I didn’t use the sarcasm symbol. Of course, I don’t believe the Flag should be banned. I served and still serve (read my tagline) to protect what it stands for, and believe it should be flown everywhere as reminder of all the good this Nation has done for the World.
