Last week, I asked this community to pray for my little 2 year old nephew who had complications after heart surgery. He had been doing better, but took a bad turn last night.
He went back to God early this morning. As my sister said, "God's plan was not our plan." We are all buoyed by her strength and the power of our large and loving family. We shall emerge stronger, but we are a little smaller today.
Please pray for the soul of little Daniel, as well as the souls of all the little ones that are sick. Their innocence is the most crushing aspect of their illness.

I am so very sorry for your loss.
This has helped me immensely to be at peace with such great losses. You are right. Daniel is in Heaven and be let those who love him most be heartened that he will never suffer the evils to come, but is in peace always.

All the problems that I think I have are put in perspective to what the family of this little angel is suffering. May the Lord be with them in their time of sorrow.
We have almost forgotten that illness and death fall upon children as well as adults. The last verse of Jesus Loves Me is almost never sung in our modern age:
“Jesus loves me! Loves me still,
Though I’m weak and very ill,
That I might from sin be free
Bled and died upon the tree.”
Little Daniel has gone home. Lord care for his family, comfort their grief, make them secure in the knowledge that they will all be reunited one day.
“Safe in the arms of Jesus,
Safe on His gentle breast;
There by His love o’ershaded,
Sweetly my soul shall rest.
Hark! ’tis the voice of angels
Borne in a song to me,
Over the fields of glory,
Over the jasper sea.”

10 years ago, my g/daughter had two heart surgeries at age one. I was reminded of it yesterday when she was wearing a swim suit and I could see the scar on her back..
Right now she’s in her bed room getting ready for church.
My heart goes out to this family and loved ones.
