Today at 10AM, the Pennsylvania Judicial Committee met to decide the fate of the Castle Doctrine (HB40), the bill that would justify deadly force if you feel your life is in jeopardy ANYWHERE you have the right to be. The bill is now referred to the house for a full vote when Speaker McCall schedules it!
This is great news in PA as the bill has been brought for many, many years without the opportunity of a full vote.
At the same meeting, the Judiciary Committee denied three anti-gun bills from moving to the house, including one bill that would revoke state preemption of firearms laws!
PA list ping!
Woo HOO!
How would Philly react to this?
—Fast Eddie Rendell will be foaming at the mouth-—
Good news for a change ping
Have no fear, Fast Eddie will veto any bill that even smells like it could be pro-gun.
And we are in year 8 of his 8-year reign, with quite possibly the best year for electing his replacement that we could ask for. :)
Good news for PA?

May be we can move into the 21st century.
In the comments section of this article, a guy states that this still has to go through the appropriations committee:

Don’t know if that’s true or not, but it still may not get to the floor of the house yet. Does anyone know if this is true and does anyone know the political (conservative/lefty) makeup of the appropriations committee.
