The Democrats are the party that says government will make you smarter, taller, richer, and remove the crabgrass on your lawn. The Republicans are the party that says government doesn't work and then they get elected and prove it. P. J. O'Rourke

OMGosh...I was just telling my son how thrilled I was as the GOP was standing strong against the corrupt liberals. Oh brother....I should have known better. I am so disgusted.
And I've seen the list of the republicans supporting the Puerto Rico vote today. It is SICKENING.

This new bill is more devastating than anyone knows. I am part of a financial services company that specializes in recreational lending, i.e. boats and RV. Under the new regulations the banks will have to create a contract for every state they do business in, will be subject to audits on a whim by the government, we will have to disclose how much we are making, will keep banks from charging a prepayment penalty, (which prevents people from just using the banks money for a little while, when they say they are committing to a long term loan).
In short the lenders we are talking to are basically saying they are going to get out of the lending business. When no one can borrow money to buy something, guess what happens, businesses close, manufacturers go out of business and more people lose their jobs. Obama and his socialist buddies are determined to destroy the private sector in this country.
This bill affects every business that extends credit, down to your local appliance store. Guess who they are looking at exempting? Car Dealers and manufacturers. Does the word UNION come to mind?
Get involved, call your congressman about what this really means to every small business.
