Well, ONE THING IS FOR SURE, from the domestic Chinese Press in the original Chinese language today (i.e. wlstock.com), the clear impression is that Uncle Obama assented to and gave away Taiwan to the Red Chinese, respecting their, the PRC's "territorial integrity" on the issue.

If I were in Taipei, I would be livid right about now.

Of course, all the imagery of subservient Obama acting like a bootlicker conforms to Chinese press' understanding of the Hu meeting.

About all you can do is shake your lowered head with this guy being seen as your leader. I don’t know how anyone could feel confident with him at the helm.

As for Taiwan, I doubt this guy has any idea what the dynamics of it’s existence has been since since the revolution.

It’s government is the legitimate government of China. It should be the one demanding the mainland return to it, not the other way around.

Possession being 9/10ths of the law (the old addage), I get why that’s not going to happen, but we should never have recognized the mainland withdrawing our recognition of Taiwan in the process. Recognize both if you feel compelled to, but don’t undercut Taiwan.

Obama isn’t the only nimrod we’ve had at the helm. He is however the chief nimrod by leaps and bounds.
