And so goes CNN's Roland Martin. On the network's March 21 special coverage of the House of Representatives passage of health care legislation, host Wolf Blitzer asked Martin, a CNN political analyst, about his views of those who call these so-called reform measures Soviet-style communism or socialism.
"That's just stuck on stupid," Martin said. "I mean to sit there on the House floor and all of a sudden you're talking about, oh, this is communism and you're sitting here and reaching - that's just dumb, OK? You know what? If Republicans truly cared about health care, why in the world didn't they do anything for eight years? So don't stand here now when the Democrats have been pushing the issue and now say, oh, no, ‘Republicans - we really care about health care,' when you had the opportunity to make changes to our system."

It can’t run Medicare, it can’t run medicaid, it can’t even run the post office. No way its going to be able to run a nationalized, socialized health care system.

Absolutely amazing how the MSM and Dems have attacked such decent good, well behaved people.
And I think that is the problem.
We are too well behaved.

A 15 mpg clunker that travels 12,000 miles a year uses 800 gallons of gas a year.
A 25 mpg vehicle that travels 12,000 miles a year uses 480 gallons a year.
So, the average Cash for Clunkers transaction will reduce US gasoline consumption by 320 gallons per year.
They claim 700,000 clunkers were turned-in, so that’s 224 million gallons saved per year.
That equates to a bit over 5 million barrels of oil.
5 million barrels is about 5 hours worth of US consumption.
More importantly, 5 million barrels of oil at $70 per barrel costs about $350 million dollars
So, the government paid $3 billion of our tax dollars to save $350 million.
We spent $8.57 for every dollar we saved.
I’m pretty sure they will do a great job with our health care, though. Not funny....sad!!!

And what was the genius Blitzer’s (the guy who flunked “Jeopardy”) reply? Or did he just “thoughtfully” shake his empty head in agreement?

I have the TV off for 3 days in mourning. I cannot stand to see the Democrats fellate themselves over this. A lesson learned that Democrats cannot not be depended on to do the right thing. I did see one bright light, Pat Cadell said of the 50 or so McCain districts held by Dems a solid 40+ will flip and a number of Dem districts which have been Dem for years will flip. The Senate will be a blood bath also. We have to mitigate the disaster till then, Lindsey Graham and McCain need to be sent a message, stray off the reservation and we will destroy you. We make no deals, it’s war.
