I think she’s doing some more classic double speak and basically trying to put the burden on Obama. He posted a jpg. He needs to defend it. She doesn’t say Obama posted an ‘official’ copy or an ‘authentic’ copy.
Here’s something else Fukino says in her statement that should be addressed:
“The responses ultimately have required the time and involvement of the Attorney General’s office and the Office of Information Practices.”
What Fukino fails to acknowledge is that it was the skeptics and requestors who got the AG’s office and OIP involved ... because the DOH was failing to abide by the laws on disclosures. Those other offices were contacted to try to get the DOH to do its job, instead of playing games.
