Secret Memo: ObamaCare VoteDays Away
Center for Individual Freedom ^ | 3-3-10 | CFIF

Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are not mincing words. Their belief is that nothing is going to stand in the way of their plans to ram Government-Run Health Care down your throat – even if it means their political hides.

As Andrew McCarthy of National Review Online put it:

"Today's Democrats are controlled by the radical Left, and it is more important to them to execute the permanent transformation of American society than it is to win the upcoming election cycles."

Make no mistake, the threat of government-run health care becoming the law of the land is as serious as it has ever been. The only thing... repeat... the only thing that stands in Obama, Pelosi and Reid's way is YOUR willingness, together with that of your fellow Americans, to make your voice heard. The time to act is now.

These articles are becoming a bit tiresome. Pelosi, Reid, and Obama have been with us for more than a year now. They've been talking this health care BS for all that time. If they were going to do it, they would have done it already. Something else is going on.

November 1978 could be repeated in November 2010 if the Democrats drink the Kool-Aid.

I must disagree. The only thing that stands between us and a massive takeover by the executive branch are a few democrat congressmen. As we type Obama is putting together deals for each of them to buy their vote. They can all be bought.

I still think it’s stone dead. Obama’s grasping at straws. Pathetic, really.

I disagree considering the news of outright bribes of ‘rats with appointing judges in exchange for the votes. These marxist thugs will do anything to get something of a foundation passed and they know it will be almost impossible to rescind later if Repubs get control.

I gotta say I admire the Dems for their loyalty to their socialist principles, no matter how destructive. If only the Republican Party displayed half this much loyalty to small government. No, the Republican leadership would rather meet the socialists half way. I’m tired of enemies on the left and right.

It really comes down to this: My conservative political philosophy does not threaten or affect the freedom of liberals. I don’t ask them to sacrifice anything for me, but they DEMAND I sacrifice for them. Right or left, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but NO ONE has the right to take inalienable rights from another! Not even a political majority has that right, because these rights come from God, not man!

I’m sick of these articles too. Besides, it makes the O look like even more of an idiot because wasn’t it not too long ago that he said his main focus would be jobs??? So what happened with that?

TRI CARE FOR LIFE This from a google search:
http://economicspolitics.blogspot.com/2009/05/tricare-for-life-is-obama-trying-to.html

This option would help reduce the costs of TFL, as well as costs for Medicare, by introducing minimum out-of pocket requirements for beneficiaries. Under this option, TFL would not cover any of the first $525 of an enrollee’s cost-sharing liabilities for calendar year 2011 and would limit coverage to 50 percent of the next $4,725 in Medicare cost sharing that the beneficiary incurred. (Because all further cost sharing would be covered by TFL, enrollees could not pay more than $2,888 in cost sharing in that year.) http://www.cbo.gov/ftpdocs/99xx/doc9925/12-18-HealthOptions.pdf

http://www.navytimes.com/news/2009/10/military_tricarefees_blocked_100709w/

By Rick Maze - Staff writer, Oct 7, 2009

Tricare fee increases imposed last week by the Defense Department will be repealed by a provision of the compromise 2010 defense authorization bill unveiled Wednesday by House and Senate negotiators.

The fee increases were announced on Sept. 30 and took effect on Oct. 1, but the defense bill, HR 2647, includes a provision barring any fee increases until the start of fiscal 2011.

Retired Army Maj. Gen. Bill Matz, president of the National Association for Uniformed Services, said the announcement of fee increases was shocking considering that the Obama administration promised earlier this year to hold off on any new fee Tricare fee increases until fiscal 2011.

“President Obama and DoD assured NAUS and the entire military family earlier this year that there would rightly be no increases in any Tricare fees” in fiscal 2010, Matz said. “We took them at their word, and I can’t believe that a co-pay increase like this was allowed to go forward,” he added.

I disagree.

If the Dems were loyal, they would have passed this early last year.

It is precisely because so many Dems are not loyal to the liberal ideology that we are still at an impasse today.

I think it is the brilliance of the founders that as a political party gets bigger, its ideology gets more diffused, preventing pure ideologies from radically yanking the country left or right, which results in uncertainty.

Incremental change is the best.

Ram the vote through...suspend the elections...

I've actually made a few bets that the November 6, 2012, election will not take place as scheduled. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that Obama and his crowd are One man, one vote; one time, folks.

I'm on top of this like gravy on rice every day but ONE of my senators was bought and paid for for a lot more than 30 pieces of silver. I still contact her, but I know she is not listening - she is the Louisiana purchase! Disgusted is not an adequate word to describe how I feel about her.

On the morning news, an analyst was counting the votes in the house and saying that Obama is about 12-20 votes short. If they are going to vote in the next few days he’d better be passing out a lot more federal judgeships...
