Judd Gregg said that the whole reconciliation ploy was just a maneuver to buy off votes in the House. The idea being that the White House and Reid will promise the members of the House that it will be “fixed” in reconciliation. However, Gregg contends that the White House doesn’t really care about reconciliation, except as a method to buy off votes in the House. Once the House passes the senate bill, Obama can sign it into law. Of course, the Dems in the house will be lied to, but Obama doesn’t care about that or them - he just wants his monument to himself and a grand signing ceremony in front of a bunch of fake doctors.
The whole game is the house vote. Obama doesn’t give a damn about “fixing” the bill. He just wants the House to think he will follow through on that. Obama and Reid would probably prefer to avoid reconciliation anyway because it will be an ugly process, and it may not even work.
they will promise that it will be changed, but of course, it will not be changed. and of course, the dems who are holding out will vote yay KNOWING the outcome.
They are not stupid. CRAZY, POWER HUNGRY, OBSESSED, yes!
can’t they simply add it in later on Obama’s desk, regardless of any law which may supposedly prohibit them from doing this?
Bo had ten to the white house last night..
1:30 today Bo’s meeting with the House members...Pushing hard!!!!
I don’t know if they can our not. But, it would appear that this congress and President, doesn’t give a flip what the law says and will do whatever they darn well please.
OTOH, I think it makes it much more difficult for him to get anything else through for the rest of 2010 and more likely we'll be looking at a Republican Congress.. A crazy, crazy gambit by an ideologue.
