Pelosi: Lawmakers Should Sacrifice Jobs for Health Care (Pelosi's new strategy for her fellow Dems)
foxnews ^ | 2/28/10

Posted on 02/28/2010 3:29:37 PM PST by bestintxas

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi urged her colleagues to back a major overhaul of U.S. health care even if it threatens their political careers, a call to arms that underscores the issue's massive role in this election year.

Lawmakers sometimes must enact policies that, even if unpopular at the moment, will help the public, Pelosi said in an interview being broadcast Sunday the ABC News program "This Week." "We're not here just to self-perpetuate our service in Congress," she said. "We're here to do the job for the American people."

It took courage for Congress to pass Social Security and Medicare, which eventually became highly popular, she said, "and many of the same forces that were at work decades ago are at work again against this bill."

Her statement in article "It took courage for Congress to pass Social Security and Medicare" emphasizes what a complete uneducated moron this woman is.

She seems to be praising these two systems as examples of what she wishes Obamacare needs to be, in spite of the fact that they are both miserable failures that are BROKEN.

How much evidence do Americans need to see we have insane people heading this country?

At least they are consistent.

This is just like white liberals strategy for affirmative action, where they volunteer somebody else or somebody else’s kid to give up opportunities to promote the “greater good” ( in that case “diversity”).

That’s big of Nancyh to volunteer other dems to be brave from her safe kook district. Surely some of them have a spine and are coming to hate her as much as we do.

I think her exact words were, “Fight on for socialized medicine, comrades!” “Do it for Stalin! Make Lenin proud! Make chairman Mao’s dream come true! Make our evil capitalist healthcare system into the far, far better system that is found in our glorious, communist Cuban paradise!”

That’s easy for her to say. She has a wacky constituency and no real challenger.

Heaviest Element Yet Known to Science Discovered
Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California has now identified with certainty the heaviest element known to science.

The new element, Pelosium (PL), has one neutron, 25 assistant neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons, and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312.

These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons.

Pelosium is inert, and has no charge and no magnetism. Nevertheless, it can be detected because it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact. A tiny amount of Pelosium can cause a reaction that would normally take less than a second, to take from 4 days to 4 years to complete.

Pelosium has a normal half-life of 2 years. It does not decay, but instead undergoes a biennial reorganization in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places.

Pelosium mass will increase over time, since each reorganization will promote many morons to become isodopes.

This characteristic of moron promotion leads some scientists to believe that Pelosium is formed whenever morons reach a critical concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as critical morass.

When catalyzed with money, Pelosium becomes Senatorium, an element that radiates just as much energy as Pelosium since it has half as many peons but twice as many morons.

Reminds of the scene in Xmen 3 when Magneto tells the higher ranking mutants to hold back and, “Let the pawns go first.”

They are totally sane. They simply want to destroy this country.

Pelosi knows her leadership is over after November. She wants everyone to jump off the cliff with her.

Misery loves company.

I am reminded of when the democratic leadership asked democrats in the US Senate and Congress to pass gun control legislation (assault weapons ban —no it was the polically incorrect looking firearm ban) and we voted all the rascals out of office.

The Democratic leadership has not learned that the American voter will get there revenge at the ballot.

It’s gibberish. First, it’s we spend too much on healthcare, and it’s a drain on the economy. Then, it’s the healthcare bill is going to spend more money but create 40,000 jobs.

Here’s the message. If you vote for unconstitutional mandates and another unaffordable entitlement, we’re gonna send you back home, pronto. Then you’ll be off the gravy train, and you’ll have to earn a living. And your replacements (did you think there is a shortage of self-serving opportunists?)will repeal what you did anyway. So think about your vote carefully.

Exactly: One has to wonder how she would vote if it were her job, that might be lost.
her feet are in concrete, it’s easy for her to urge others to political suicide.

TRI CARE FOR LIFE This from a google search:

http://economicspolitics.blogspot.com/2009/05/tricare-for-life-is-obama-trying-to.html

This option would help reduce the costs of TFL, as well as costs for Medicare, by introducing minimum out-of pocket requirements for beneficiaries. Under this option, TFL would not cover any of the first $525 of an enrollee’s cost-sharing liabilities for calendar year 2011 and would limit coverage to 50 percent of the next $4,725 in Medicare cost sharing that the beneficiary incurred. (Because all further cost sharing would be covered by TFL, enrollees could not pay more than $2,888 in cost sharing in that year.) http://www.cbo.gov/ftpdocs/99xx/doc9925/12-18-HealthOptions.pdf

Congress plans to block Tricare fee increases

http://www.navytimes.com/news/2009/10/military_tricarefees_blocked_100709w/

By Rick Maze - Staff writer, Oct 7, 2009

Tricare fee increases imposed last week by the Defense Department will be repealed by a provision of the compromise 2010 defense authorization bill unveiled Wednesday by House and Senate negotiators.
Snip The fee increases were announced on Sept. 30 and took effect on Oct. 1, but the defense bill, HR 2647, includes a provision barring any fee increases until the start of fiscal 2011.

Snip

Retired Army Maj. Gen. Bill Matz, president of the National Association for Uniformed Services, said the announcement of fee increases was shocking considering that the Obama administration promised earlier this year to hold off on any new fee Tricare fee increases until fiscal 2011.

“President Obama and DoD assured NAUS and the entire military family earlier this year that there would rightly be no increases in any Tricare fees” in fiscal 2010, Matz said. “We took them at their word, and I can’t believe that a co-pay increase like this was allowed to go forward,” he added.
