"I guess I'll have to patronize one of the soon to be health clinics/resorts in the Caribbean."

This will likely be the result. The Canadians now have the US to come to but, if the Health Bill is enacted, both Canadian and US citizens will need somewhere to go for immediate diagnosis, treatment and procedures.

This is a great opportunity for Mexico and points south to lure US physicians to practice there. The Socialist Party rulers in the US would then make it illegal (except for the Socialist elite), so people would have to sneak out of their hotels and do it while acting like they are on vacation.

He's not stupid, he knows where the money is.

Schumer spokesman Brian Fallon says his boss “calls the shots the way he sees them” — regardless of who’s giving him money. Believe that I'll introduce you to my Senator, Dick the Durban.

From what I can see the shareholders of health care stocks have lost money the last few years. No much dividend and stocks have gone down.
The Rats in the states keep increasing the list of things that must be covered by health insurance, plus the hospitals must recover what they loose on medicare, medicaide and illegals..those loses have gone up.
There is nothing serious being done to reduce the causes of rising costs.

It is, Mayo already has a test underway in AZ to determine whether they should dump medicare. No reason they couldn't open outside the mainland, people who can go to Boca or Phoenix or Rochester can go to Barbados. And presuming we have a reimbursement system like Canada, a large chunk will be covered. Private insurance, they'll cut a deal, costs will probably be lower. I'm told that in many Caribbean nations the tort system is just a bit less plaintiff friendly. And those laws can easily be changed.

Next, our refineries can move to avoid taxes and enviornmental regulation, this may happen, and we can make ethonal from sugar cane. Offshore, to avoid taxes, ship the ethonal here.

As Joe the Biden says, it's all about three lettere, J-O-B-S. Never said they have to be here.

The Repub party is as bought-and-paid-for as the Dems... why, when Repubs had big majorties, do we still have social security, medicare, medicaid, huge deficits, Chips programs, food stamps, disability, unemployment insurance, etc. etc. etc... ???

The sad fact is that the Repubs will make a big show of “free markets”, “free society”, “snall government” in public, but they will do NOTHING to dissemble the vast nanny state. Absolutely nothing... why? Because big money WANTS the country to be sheep, it’s bread and circuses and keep the masses stupified...and our Senate Repubs take their money as readily as the Dems to keep their cushy jobs..

It won’t take many Tea party candidates challenging Repubs for the Repub party to come to its senses, and its core values.... but they will only act with a SERIOUS challenge to their power. Otherwise, all of our efforts and money will produce RINOs like Scott Brown.

I will give $$ support ANY Tea Party candidate who challenges ANY RINO in upcoming primaries...

Hubby and I have been talking about that if either of us needs something major done. We also know a guy who lives in Bangkok who tells us medicare care there is very high ttech and very cheap. I refuse to die waiting in line.

We'll tell the stinkin doctors what they can earn, ...

And- where to practice, and what kind of medicine to practice, how many patients they see and what treatments they can give.

Fewer insurers, fewer doctors, who get a 20%+ pay cut tomorrow..

And fewer hospitals, and less specialty equipment, with long lines for specialty tests.

Myself, if I'm seriously ill, I guess I'll have to patronize one of the soon to be health clinics/resorts in the Caribbean

Or give a bribe to your doctor and his lab for the procedure you need- just like every other socialized medical system. Then you can drive to Mexico to get the drugs they won't sell you here.

“That’ll fix health care. Fewer insurers, fewer doctors, who get a 20%+ pay cut tomorrow, it will do the trick.”

A study was just released a few days ago that showed that doctors have had their reimbursement rates cut by 25% since 1996. Their response? Predictably (well, if you’re not a raving leftist), they’re working less.

It’s a brilliant way of addressing an ever-looming doctor shortage, isn’t it?

No doubt the leftists’ next great idea will be to completely take over the healthcare system so that they can control the amount of time doctors work....only to (UNEXPECTEDLY) realize that not as many people are becoming doctors.

“Several of my families doctors have already blown off medicare (I’m not there quite yet) as well as private insurance. In favor of a fee system.”

That’s what a great number of pscyhiatrists are doing. They’re being reimbursed to see a patient for 10-minutes, which is an absurdly small amount of time to see someone over something as complex as a psychiatric illness.

So goodbye insurance. Goodbye medicare. Hello cash only. The patient gets the time they deserve, the doctor keeps his sanity and professional fulfilment.

Ya, right, then all you’ve got are doctors with altruistic hearts? They are motivated by love and compassion for peoples physical maladies... NOT... pay and competition drives most people in any profession, not altruism. Take away government intervention and the insurance stranglehold now over America’s health care, let prices be driven by what the average American can pay, free market forces, and prices would come down naturally. And for you 30M without healthcare, go back to Mexico... heartless aint it...

This is a hitpiece on Ryan. On Friday the DEMS in the state legislature passed a piece of legislation called Badger Care Plus. It was a strict party line vote and again Wisconsin is paying the price for electing communists. It will expand the pool of slackers on the State supplemented insurance scam called Badger Care. Badger Care Plus will only reimburse health care providers at the medicare rate, meaning that the providers will by necessity sock people with real insurance even harder. This is the same dynamic that will run up the cost of private insurance under Obamacare. Of course, this level of analysis is beyond the interest of the lamestream media, which is only interested in sliming Ryan. Ryan is my congressman, and he is for real, not a RINO. He is supported by companies whose extermination he is trying to prevent. This is the only way to fight socialism when the other side has our very tax dollars being siphoned into their coffers.

Good point about Suharto. A world class thug running a 100th rate thugocracy... and very likely a role model for our Thugocrat-In-Chief.
