I just Thank The Lord, we have people like you addressing this hidden agenda...when it is brought out in the open or to the light and no longer hidden...it is so much easier for all of us to fight it.

After watching this segment on Glenn Beck, it is now very understandable why the impostor attacked the conservative part of the SCOTUS along with the evildoer dems clapping.

Doesn’t “neoconservative” policy stem from a progressive mentality as well?

Indeed it does. Remember from where neoconservatism developed. It came from modern liberals (e.g., progressives) who felt that a) the Democrats had become too radical, and b) that the Democrats had abandoned national security.

The neoconservatives embrace the fundamental tenets of progressivism: that government can, through expertise, manage the problems of society. They further imagine that this can be done internationally (e.g., nation building) This sets them apart, not only from Old Right isolationists, but from the realist camp (James Baker, Henry Kissinger, etc.).

Ron Paul's foreign policy is probably closer to a traditionally conservative viewpoint. Whether it is tenable in this day and age is debatable. My view probably falls somewhere in between the paleos and the realists.

I hope not, because I’m not a historian of Progressivism. But a chapter in my forthcoming book is PERFECT for his progressivism stuff, and I hope he uses it.

Thanks, but the makeup people made me look 10 years younger, and as for being relaxed, it’s all the dope I smoked before I went on :)

Gotta say, that bugged me too. It’s like rewriting the Bible in “everyday language.” Well, you lose a LOT when you do that, both substantively and poetically.

Almost all my books are available on Kindle now, if that’s what you mean.

LOL. First, beautiful set. Second, what a pro Beck is. He came in about 10 minutes before the show, did ONE run through, and nailed it.

Part of the problem is (and I’m as guilty as anyone) we don’t want to sit down and think and read slowly.

Language usage has obviously changed- but it is great to read it as it is- it helps to get inside the minds of these great men and expands our own thinking.

You are joining the archives I’m building for my granddaughter, so when the progressives rewrite History, she will have something to which she can turn for the truth.

I hope not, because I’m not a historian of Progressivism.......

But it seems that the field is wide open for you in that Progressivism needs to be put in its proper place from an objective point of view and a conservative point of view. What books do this?

Until Glenn Beck I had a warm and fuzzy liking for the progressives of the classic Progressive era. Glenn has it in for Teddy Roosevelt which is very bold due to TR having a very good image, starting our National Park system and being a trust buster. Woodrow Wilson the uber progressive has no image

Pestritti’s book on Wilson is good (sp), and Jonah Goldberg’s Liberal Fascism nails it. I agree, I’m not a TR hater. Rather, he disappoints me, because his patriotism is unquestioned, his desire for the U.S> to be “top dog” for the right reasons is unquestioned, but because he never really ran a business (a cattle ranch, very briefly, and lost a lot of money) successfully, he never appreciated what business DID.

It’s on USB memory sticks (flashdrives). So far I’ve accumulated three 8GB and working on a fourth, plus books in my library.
