Most people don’t think he’s an Olympia Snowe Republican. I hope he’s not.
Feminazis: Brown won because MA is sexist.
They’re incapable of entertaining the UNTHINKABLE:
That Americans might find Marxism objectionable. That we DON’T want to “get on our knees and pray to become Communist”. That, indeed, we would fight any fight to prevent it.
He’s not. He has future ambitions.
The fact that he made opposition to ObamaCare the centerpiece of his campaign probably does make him better than Snowe, but I fully expect him to screw us over on something major at some point, in an attempt to stay in the good graces of MA voters. It will be worth it just to kill ObamaCare.
A couple of months ago, I posted that Coakley would make a more beatable candidate than Capuano because MA did not like electing Democrat women to federal office: the state has never elected a female U.S. Senator, and before Niki Tsongas’s (very close) election 2 years ago it had not sent a Democrat woman to Congress since 1970 or so. So, *of course* feminazis are going to blame sexism for Coakley’s defeat. They blame sexism for all of society’s ills (or what they perceive as ills), even when they have no evidence, so given the “evidence” I gave above it would be shocking if they *didn’t* blame sexism for the state’s rejection of Coakley.
BTW, my theory that voters are less likely to elect a liberal woman than a liberal man because the liberal man is better at projecting that he’s not really that liberal (or because voters are more willing to assume that a liberal woman willbe weak on crime, etc.) keeps looking stronger. 2006 saw Democrats win like 80% of winnable races in which they ran a man but maybe 20% of winnable races in which they ran a woman.
