Rod, you HAVE to remember that Barack Obama's crowning jewel for legislation in Illinois is a provision that says (paraphrased) if a baby survives an abortion, the doctor and nurses can stand around the table, watch the baby die, and do nothing. This was part of the partial-birth abortion program in place in Illinois; the abortion doctors and nurses were worried about being sued or arrested for ignoring the Hippocratic oath, so Barack Obama came to their rescue.
Given Obama's record on this, it should not be surprising that he displays a low regard for human life in other aspects of society. So a few thousand Haitians dying is just a photo op for Obama and Hillary Clinton.
I was thinking that mobilizing the Marines, coordinating with our other forces ..the logistics may just take days...and then there is the complication of who do you deal with as a “govt”.
I wouldn’t want to drop Marines down into a situation where they don’t have control of the situation.
Having said all that..I just wonder how the inefficient and bungling beuarocracy of our govt is interfereing with this military and relief operation. My guess: a lot.
