When you say “healthcare legislation will fail”. Did he mean it passes and fails after being implemented, or that it does not pass?

This will be difficult for Ozero to oppose,even though it's like pouring holy water or shooting silver bullets at the Dear leader, since his mother was so invested in exactly the same thing for some years.
It could well be the solution for Haiti as a hundred thousand small businesses would be a perfect solution for Haiti's problems. And ironically ,given half a chance no one is more capitalistic than Haitians.

I just wonder how Giuliani, GW or Jeb Bush, would have made different decisions, instead of the dithering from the One that we have seen this week.

Clinton talks about how so many people live on one or two dollars in Haiti, Wonder if Obama’s kin use those briquettes.
Can you think of any major legislative items that came out in an election year? It seems like all major legislative items get done in off years. Elections years seem to paralyze the Congress since by about May they are all too busy worrying about their campaigns to do anything serious.
If we went to a biannual budget system, I think you could pretty much shut down Congress around June 1st of any election year and no one would notice.
Democrats have always backed despotic leaders in Haiti. I cannot imagine that changing with the zero crowd imposing more socialism and fascism on them now.
When I was in Haiti it was $2.65 per day and by the time I left it was approaching $4.00. Don't know what it is now. But really does not matter. Without security,massive incentives such as Caribbean basin initiative,and much more, no factories will ever reopen.
Obama to appear at District church where King spoke

In his second appearance at a local church since taking office, President Obama on Sunday will attend a historic African American congregation in Northwest Washington. He was expected to speak from a pulpit where the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. once stood.
The first family is expected to attend the Vermont Avenue Baptist Church, a 144-year-old congregation in the Logan Circle area where on February 7, 1968, King delivered a sermon that was part of a series entitled “In search of a sense of direction.”
It’s amazing how I heard last night the PResident being physically there can hamper efforts because of the security involved and such.
Why didn’t we hear that with Katrina?
It is a big pain in the butt to deal with having the President or celebrities around while trying to deal with these things.
I like this idea. It would be one way to stop congress without having to change the US Consitution. It would also focus voters on congressional actions instead of promises.
Their lack of basic services will retard any massive economic help.
They have enough natural resources to revive their economy but no mgmt. system in place to get the job done.

Bush looks great; lol - Bill still acts like a goober.
Bill says Hillary negotiated an agreement between Haitian govt and US for military control for the airport.
Bush says their mission is: After devestating scenes get off TV, their job is to remind people of the ongoing need for Haitians.

But of course, build to the possibility of a 7.0 earthquake.
Same criticism about the WTC. If only we’d used more asbestos.
