Another War With Hamas Is Inevitable

Just over a year after IDF Operation Cast Lead in the Gaza Strip, former OC Southern Command Maj.-Gen. Yom Tov Samia on Sunday predicted that another war with Hamas was practically inevitable and would take place in the near future.

"We are before another round in Gaza," Samia told Army Radio in an interview. "I am very skeptical about the possibility that Hamas will suddenly surrender or change its ways without being hit much more seriously than it was during Cast Lead."

Israel must carry out "a more focused strike with long-lasting results" the former commander said, and advised that the in the next war, the army should take control of certain areas in Gaza so that Hamas understands its own actions have lead to this loss.

Izz al-Din al- Kassam Brigades published photographs of newly acquired weapons including missiles with a double warhead, 107-mm caliber missiles designed to penetrate fortified structures, and a new type of armor-piercing RPG missile.

Inevitable indeed. Gazans have just started another round of rocket launches in the past couple weeks. Nice of them to publish information on the weapons they have so Israel can figure out a strategy to counter them. No doubt the origins of the ordnance can be traced back to the Iranian regime.

I would only correct this by saying — from the Islamofascist perspective — no war with their militant factions ever ends until the Islamofascists win.

When the fight stops, regardless of the stated reason (treaty, truce, etc.), it is merely a strategic pause to regroup or change tactic.

This time the Israelis ought to turn off the water and power and supply shipments and LEAVE THEM OFF, instead of weenie-ing out and relenting.

Israel must stomp on these vermin decisively...enough to destroy their troublemaking capacity. Collapse all their tunnels, quarantine their turf, kill their leadership, scour their ratholes and confiscate every weapon found.

And, as the saying goes, repeat as necessary. "Negotiation" between implacable foes can only succeed when one side dictates the terms. History is unequivocal on this.

How about simply wipe out Hamas? Destroy them utterly, kill the leaders before they can surrender, and that way whatever government comes into being in Gaza in the future will understand what happens when one keeps f#**ing with a lion, despite repeated warning growls. One gets bit...in half...and one dies.
