Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site
12/11/2009 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 12/11/2009 5:57:16 PM PST by Jim Robinson

Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site... or so they say... and they might even be right.

We don't go for any of that godless left-wing big government socialist malarkey. And we do put our faith and trust in God, not government. We are pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Family, pro-Country and pro-Liberty.

We do not believe that government or science knows what's best for us or our children. We will make our own decisions thank you very much.

Every once in a while some group of posters get together and try to bend Free Republic to their will. Now, we tend to be pretty free-wheeling around here and will take a lot of guff and a lot of obnoxious insults from a lot of people, but eventually a breaking point is reached.

For example, when a group of RINO lovers recently banded together to try to force FR to accept an abortionist/gay rights RINO as our presidential candidate, they soon found themselves on the outs.

And a few years ago a group of evolutionists tried to force FR over to their way of thinking and they soon found themselves on the outs.

FR is a pro-God, pro-Creator, pro-Life, pro-Liberty site.

And now we have yet another group of Darwinists trying to have their Darwinist way with us. Well, as I've said before what doesn't kill us will only make us stronger.

Darwin Central has again declared war on FR. They have ping lists and email lists and will try to pull away as many FReepers as they possibly can. So be it. Those who would rather go with Darwin, please go. I sure as hell won't try to stop you.

FR will remain a pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-Creator conservative site.

We wholeheartedly believe that our unalienable rights are a gift from God our Creator not from man or government. And no man, no government will ever deprive us of same.

Keep your powder dry.

"ZC and his ilk fancy themselves the theological elite..."

Neat!   For a minute I thought I had to go ping you.

Also, ZC's ilk sounds like a great name for a rock band.

"evolution is not being taught without bias"

HA! The 'bias' (it is flat-out jack-boot dogmatism) in all public schools, began decades ago, as I can attest from experiencing high school 'biology class' in 1955 - in two states. I was hit with brainwashing in that direction years prior to that in ALL lower grades.

It's said that the decade from 1936 to 1947 was the scientific highpoint for evolutionist thinking, and I was there from almost the beginning, hearing all the 'evidence' for the reigning paradigm of the 'scientific community.'

The fact is, alternative explanations for all 'evolutionary phenomena' are simply not allowed, particularly if said facts endanger the evolutionary explanation as the only 'scientific' one.

Well, there is honest science, and then there is evolutionary 'science'- the first is nothing at all like the later, which demands allegiance to Father Charlie, 'natural selection' and mandatory vitriolic hatred of any suggestion of intelligent design.

But strict Darwinists are in real trouble with the recent development of Super-resolution microscopy that allows imaging at resolutions of better than 100 nanometers - some down in the 10-20 nm range.

A bacterial flagellum motor is about 60nm in diameter and its tail is 500nm long. ATP synthase is about 10x20 nm. Soon we'll be looking at live complex molecular machines running in real-time 3-D - a sight that will make the phrase 'natural selection' look as silly as the belief in a 'flat earth' during Medieval times.

Speaking of better images, the most recent images from Hubble have become a major problem for astronomers, as photos are another confirmation of the 'lumpiness problem' in cosmology, in which structure appears abruptly as far back as we can see. That is another problem (one of many) for the Big Bang theory.

I'm an 'old fart' (according to some 'lights') and I've studied more scientific literature than most FReepers with degrees have probably seen - and still at work in computer science and a mathematically demanding field (45 yrs) that involves space, satellites - which occasionally brings me into contact with NASA scientists and engineers... several of whom, I'm sure you'll be interested to hear, are in fact what the banned one on this thread referred to as 'YEC's.' I guess he would call me a YECie too. ~grin~

Have a great day, metmom. Methinks many of us are 'sickof libs.' Jim, sick'em - continue to rid this place of needless sickening dross!

Well, a good start would be not calling people who believe in creation or ID, *creatards* or *IDiots*.

Nor would posting derogatory pictures about Christ and making comments about zombies. (zot worthy behavior)

Calling them *Christian Taliban* also tends to bring out the lightning bolts.

Creationists, of necessity, have pretty think skins, as do Christians, but there is a limit to what is appropriate.

You could go by *Do unto others*. Think about whether you would you want to say to them, said to you by them.

That would keep you pretty safe, I imagine.

There’s also JR’s statement at the beginning of the thread.

Both uniformitarian evolutionism and literalist creationism are reasonable given the premises of each. The confusion of one with "faith" and one with "reason" is a childish error.

Well stated. One might build upon this to amplify the meaning of faith and belief as presented in Scripture, which is discernibly different than most secular humanist interpretations. Empiricism, Rationalism, and Faith might be compared to systems of knowledge based upon perceptions of the body, soul, and human spirit respectively.

Your condescension and contempt for all things Catholic, spewed over years of posting history is really wearing thin.

Years of contempt for all things Catholic?

Prove it. Post the links to my contempt for *all things Catholic* posts over the years.

I'll be waiting.....

"And we do put our faith and trust in God, not government. We are pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Family, pro-Country and pro-Liberty."

Wow... who knew that the founding fathers of this great nation were fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalists? After all, they believed in the same things.

So since this country no longer follows the intended path of it's founders and therefore, no longer follows the word and intentions of the constitution, how can we say that we still have a valid country or a valid government for that matter?

And if our country, government and constitution are no longer valid, why are we just sitting here commenting on it?

Some folks here have mentioned that my tagline would only apply if it were too late. My opinion is that it is already too late.

Some seats in congress will be changed in 2010 and likely, a democrat will not sit in the White House after 2012, but the same general downward course of this country will persist albeit it at a slightly slower pace.

Words can only do so much when elections and judges are tainted and minds are poisoned.

There is nowhere left to go.

Like I say, it's basically all over but the shouting. Evolution is a dead theory walking.

Amen to that! Jim, I'm glad you've come out and let good Americans know where FreeRepublic, a central stalwart of conservatism that reaches millions of people, officially stands on the issue!

Evolutionists (a.k.a. evolosers) have basically ruined modern science as we know it - you'll notice that it's pretty much engineers (and, in some cases, chemists) who carry technology forward - "science", the "peer-reviewed" type, has only smashed down new ideas and hasn't contributed anything positive for at least a century!

Left and right, top to bottom, the superior, more rigorous methodology of creation science has repeatedly debunked the nonsensical musing of evolutionists! Since the advent of Darwin's nonsense, "scientists" have been pushing silliness, like a "billions of year-old earth" (soft dinosaur tissue and rapid sedimentation disproves this), "radiometric dating" (falsely assumes physical 'constants'), "stars millions of light years away" (another attempt to push old-earth and Big Bang baloneyism; triangulation of distances only works to a few hundred light years, max), "quantum mechanical leaping" (the absurd debunked notion that particles are random and jump through walls), "plate tectonics" (completely discredited by Walt Brown's esteemed hydroplate theory), "special relativity" (the absurd notion that the divine nature of time can be adjusted to our whims against all common sense; even though general relativity holds up well), "lack of a universal center" (used to prop up the failed Big Bang theory, debunked by the superior theory of Russell Humphreys), "dinosaurs living millions of years ago" (which goes against the documented Biblical Fall of Man), "ignoring the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics" (which clearly states lizard to ape to man evolution can't happen), "mutations can add information" (a clear contradiction of the 2nd Law and observations of bacteria microevolution), "stellar nuclear/evolution theory" (which ignores the dominance of electromagnetic forces in the universe), the "Big Bang theory" (that an explosion came from nothing - retrograde planetary spin and angular momentum conservation rules this out) - - - - the list keeps going! These needlessly convoluted, distorted and complex theories are little more than an attempt to confuse and deceive - the Bible warns us of "science so falsely called" (1 Timothy 6:20-21):

"For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. " - 1 Corinthians 14:33

The advent of the 20th century, "The Century of Evolutionism" has brought us the rise of Communism and the two worst wars in World History - close to a billion deaths. Evolutionists are monsters who have no place in conservatism, let alone civilized society! Not only should they be shunned from conservatism, but it's time to take stronger action; Godly conservatives need to actively protest the scientific minority (i.e. University "science" departments) who still promote these dead theories. With continued diligence, I predict in a few years that, like their cousins, the Global Warming Alarmists, these scientists will be arrested for fraud and abuse of research funds, their welfare funding pulled, their ivory towers smashed, and new age of scientific advancement in the Spirit of the Creator will be upon us!

Amen! Amen! Thanks Jim, for posting this thread, and spearheading the movement in the right direction! To God Be the Glory!

I can't comment on his chr*stianity, but his concept of "reason" is fatally flawed.

So is his concept of Christianity. In fact, I've noticed that pretty much every concept held by NL is fatally flawed.
