Coca-Cola is spearheading a coalition of more than 100 companies pushing a United Nations climate treaty to bind the U.S. to cap-and-trade emissions regulation, commit the world's wealthiest nations to a potential $10 trillion in foreign aid and, possibly, form a proposed international "super-grid" for regulating and distributing electric power worldwide.
Together with the SAP and Siemens corporations, Coca-Cola launched a website called Hopenhagen, leading up to the U.N. Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark, which opens on Dec. 7. The website invites the citizens of the world to sign a petition demanding world leaders draft binding agreements on climate change and advertises, as of today, "16 days left to seal the deal."
Other "friends" of Hopenhagen include media outlets Newsweek, Discovery Channel, Huffington Post, Cosmopolitan, Seventeen, The Wall Street Journal and Clear Channel, among others, Internet giants Yahoo, Google and AOL and dozens of other companies and organizations.

If I boycotted every company that pulled stupid stuff, I wouldn’t be able to buy anything.
Pepsi sucks and I wouldn’t drink their garbage if they were the most conservative company in the world.
This is all a matter of personal preference of course and I’m sure there are people here who think Coke sucks and Pepsi is just wonderful.

Used to drink a coke a day. Guess I’ll give it up for good. Actually haven’t had one in a couple of months, and I don’t miss it anymore.
The corn syrup version of Coke tastes terrible to me - how about RC Cola and a moonpie?

Any company with manufacturing centers and customers in the third world is going to cheer for cap and tax because they aren’t “citizens” of the US anymore. They know that anything that weakens the US and the concept of the sovereign nation-state strengthens them and their ability to exploit the people through neo-feudalism.
I never was big on beer but I am an alcoholic and haven’t had an alcohol beverage in almost 30 years. What I remember was that I couldn’t tell any difference among domestic brands but certainly could distinguish between domestic and German beer.
Whiskey was another matter altogether
About 6 months ago I was designing a process system which involved the use of phosphoric acid to address a heavy metals issue. At the time, I had been drinking almost nothing but Diet Coke or water. I remember being in a conversation about Nutrisweet and decided to look into what this stuff was. Something about creating formaldahyde in the digestive process got my attention so I decided to see whate was in the DC.
The first ingredient on the side of the can was; Phosphoric Acid. I quit drinking the stuff that moment. About three days of noticable withdraawals from the caffene and that was it. Now I drink water and iced tea (not instant) with the occasional beer after a long hot day at the tracks.
What’s with the Wall Street Journal?
