Dobbs got $8M to quit
CNN 'wanted him out'
CNN was so sick of Lou Dobbs, it gave him an $8 million severance package to leave, The Post has learned.
"They wanted him out," according to a source.
Dobbs, who a source said had a year and a half to go on his $12 million contract, shocked viewers last Wednesday by announcing he was quitting. CNN boss Jonathan Klein and Dobbs, 64, had been publicly feuding over the kind of reporting Dobbs was doing on his show -- especially stories about illegal immigration and the anti-Obama "birther" movement, which contends the president was not born in Hawaii and is not an American citizen.
But it was not clear until now that CNN was willing to pay Dobbs so much money to leave.

Dobbs doesn’t seem one to walk away from his convictions over these issues. I believe he will find a way, if he hasn’t already, to continue to hammer out the information to the public.
With $8million of his own money he could track down the birth certificate story more!!!

It wouldn't surprise me if the $8m payment was conditioned on a severance contract with a non-compete clause.
You don’t suppose they included a clause in their agreement that bars him going to Fox for a number of years, do you?
Klein’s gearing up for state-run television.
Can’t see Dobbs doing that, not good business sense. He’s not the one who wanted to leave, they wanted him out. He could have just worked out the balance of his contract, after all.

Heard yesterday that Lou Dobbs has been auditioning for FOX for two years now!
Looks to me that it is more “dangerous” for CNN to drop him instead of keeping hem. Just see what Glenn Beck is now serving up at FOX!!!
Fox News is beginning to look like an isolated refugee camp.
Isolation is not what we need to get the alternative messages to the White House scripts out to the public.
Political news reporting needs yet another outlet to compete with the Obama Propaganda Networks. A lot of people won’t watch Fox News just because they are told by the government not to. They need a alternative outlet with credible conservative news.

Now there is no reason at all to ever give CNN a hit.
We will have the added enjoyment of watching their horrible numbers become even worse.
