Would KSM and the others look at a not guilty verdict as a sign from Allah that they are on Allah’s side in their attacks on western civilization?
Would other Muslims around the world look at a not guilty verdict as a miracle from Allah that they should re-double their efforts against us?
Even if all are found guilty, this sets a terrible precedent that, warlike acts against America will be dealt with in the civilian criminal justice system.
You can bet the ranch that any captured future terrorists will use this case as a precedent to have their cases tried in civilian court.

Administration and prepare for the 2010 elections. The trial of 5 terrorists together will take way longer than the time remaining until the 2010 election might make it by 2012 but probably not.

Why are they doing this when a military court could do the same thing without giving free publicity to the terrorists? Do you feel Obama thinks the "win" would justify the mess?
