I just heard an anesthesiologist on FOX News say that the new Pelousy Health Care bill just passed contained a requirement that seniors will have gatekeepers that will control senior access to health care.

The gatekeeper concept is not going to work.
If you are a nurse practitioner( or a family physician), and you are seeing an elderly patient with complex problems- there is no way you are going to deny them specialty care.
NPs do not have the training to deal with these problems, and would likely face lawsuits if they did not refer out appropriately.
Family practice doctors have more training, but they would also face lawsuits if they took on a patient they could not handle.
What this will do is create more government layers which will accomplish nothing.
That is why the ins. companies dropped the gatekeeper model- too many complaints from physicians and patients with no cost control improvement.

Everyone knew the DUMS had the votes to pass this nightmare.
It was a pipe dream to think ANY DUM would let their evil party suffer a loss.

I know it’s hard to fight against the evil onslaught, but the Founders had a much harder battle.

AND much bigger losses.
WE have to make sure there are no more DUMS elected or reelected to Congress or Senate. We have to start taking back America THERE and in our Statehouses.

I think the resentment and rebellion is deep enough to have legs into the next election. I also think more will be done by this administration to increase opposition to them as we go along. They are going to scare even more Democrats.

There is nothing really to fight at the moment. The House passed a version of healthcare that is much different from what the Senate has in mind. I know that may be the plan - to do the dirty dealing in the reconciliation process - but I am not sure they will get a bill out of the Senate to reconcile.
