When Gunnery Sgt. Marcus Hyman was told he’d get to sit down with Barack Obama on Monday, the Marine knew what he wanted to find out: What’s the president’s plan for Afghanistan?
Obama didn’t go into great detail answering Hyman, the young man said after their chat, but the future of the faltering war was clearly on the president’s mind during his afternoon visit to Jacksonville Naval Air Station.

Reminds me of when I was at Aviano and was in the same situation when one of the Clintons decided to "support the troops." Always disgusted me being forced to be part of a campaign backdrop.

One-half sailor and one-half Marine who has no fear while he moves about the field to mend the wounds during the fight and stays to the end never taking flight so he can get back for the next Saturday night and choose whether to wear Navy white or his Dress Blues.

Representing a political party that contains siginificant elements who hate the military, who want us to lose wars and who’s dislike for everything the military stands for, Emperor Obama is a shallow, weak and distressing commander in chief. I too would be very unhappy about being forced to be there. How about we fill the hanger with reporters so the whole crowd could drool and fawn over Obama?
I didn’t see any of the sailors clamoring to shake his hands like they did with a proven Commander-in-Chief GWB when he hooked up with the military personnel. NO smiles or excitement!!!
