Are Government Workers That Take Columbus Day Off Racists?
Posted on 10/12/2009 6:28:35 AM PDT by tonyome
With the far left and their media allies engaging in their usual Columbus bashing today, I was wondering if all of the government employees taking the day off today are racists. After all, Christopher Columbus was directly responsible for the death of all of the indigineous people in the America's since 1492. All you SEIU people - get back to work.

I’m sure Columbus Day will soon be replaced with Obama Day.

My Dad was a federal working in DC. I remember when Reagan shut down the government because the budget did not pass and the order came down that only “essential personnel” should come to work. It was amazing how many essential workers showed up that day on the hopes of getting paid. That same fiscal year D.C. was hit with a huge snow storm. To alleviate traffic the order came down that only “essential personnel” should show up to work. It was amazing how in a couple of short months how many federal workers became nonessential.
I think this answers why all these leftist workers celebrate Columbus Day.

There is only two days left that celebrates the white man, Columbus Day and St. Patrick's Day. Soon to called a racist day by the people who preach equality. We are doomed by the people who want only the money the white man brings to the table. But we are too much a bunch of wimps to look them in the eye and say “ we are not going to take this anymore”!

No, they just rationalize it away like the NEA and our school district did, call it “Fall Day” and then take it off

I am enjoying my Euro-American liberty today. Little wxgesr and I are fishing at Cape Hatteras. Gotta love Eurocentric holidays. I had to take a vacation day because I am a contractor.
