If ever a house-cleaning burning in Washington was required, it is now!

There, FIXED!

The headline is a little misleading, but not much.

It's us, the American people, that are not to be allowed to read the bills.

Now that wouldn't be so bad, IF the Congressman would read them before they vote on them. But we know they don't, and in many cases can't, because the bills are too long. Congressmen would spend their entire day just reading bills. Can't have that, they have to write them too, plus there is golf to play, lobbyists to shake down, and so on.

In reality the CongressCritters neither read nor write the bills. Their staffs do that for them, and they get "executive summaries", just the sort of thing that the 'Rats want to post, under the term "Conceptual Language".

Now that wouldn't be so bad,

I say that because until quite recently we had no opportunity to read bills before they were passed. They weren't printed up in the newspapers, nor read aloud on TV. Only with the advent of the internet, did it become possible.

But in those bygone days, bills were generally shorter, and the Congressmen who we hired did read them, and write them too, on occasion at least.

So, to wrap..because the one person who flipped me off isnt coming forward, Im going to punish you ALL with a weeks detention. Or maybe even..the destruction of the Constitution itself.

Yeah, that’ll work.

Pelosi, the disgusting criminal politician, shows her utter contempt for the Constitution and the Democratic process, again and again, and again...She is not an American.

Zip cuffs and a gag order.

Oh, and jail for life. Life not being 20 years, but the rest of it.

When and if the GOP gains control of the House again this should be one of the first items they pass. After all they had the votes to do this in times past but didn't. This isn't new to this Congress but has been standard fare for a long time. I think some democrats from conservative areas will support this openness.

In the immortal words of “President” Schwarzenegger, “I was elected to lead, not to read.”

It’s time to combine these ideas into a new Contract; or an even more marketable phrase ...

In a way, this is a contract violation, the kind that can vitiate any contract. This is how I mean it:

The Constitution is our contract, and the laws Congress passes, when signed by the President become part of that contract (in a way).

One of the requirements of a contract under the Uniform Commercial Code is that all parties to the contract, or their representatives, have read and understood the contract.

I’m sure legally and Constitutionally that argument doesn’t hold water, but it works for me.

PELOSI REFUSING TO ALLOW ANY BILLS TO BE READ BY CONGRESS BEFORE VOTING

I did not know that her role was to allow or disallow this sort of thing. I thought her role was to guide. When did she become the boss? If all these Senators do as she says, there is a common expression for them that means they are whipped by a woman, and you know what I mean. Disgusting. All these men (and other women) afraid of Pelosi? She must have a lot of dirt on all of them to demand such an incredible thing.

So...
The sub-prime meltdown was caused for the most part by people not reading (or understanding) the mortages they signed.

That takes a special kind of stupid. Apparently the same kind it takes to get elected to congress.
