'Totally Strange' Hurdia a Hurdle for Evolution
ICR ^ | September 9, 2009 | Brian Thomas, M.S.

Cambrian rock layers contain fossils that represent almost every modern phylum of animal, plus many that are now extinct. One animal fossil in particular would win the weird prize, if there were one. Paleontologists have been piecing together this strange creature’s body parts, which look as though they were taken from an array of totally different sea animals. This variety of features eludes an evolutionary explanation.

The parts of this particular fossilized animal had previously been described separately and given different names, as though they belonged to different creatures. But a recent study revealed that all these parts came from just one “totally strange” sea creature...

LOL. I’m quite offended, tpanther, that you neglected to call me the communist nazi monkey loving kicker of small dogs in your post above.

To be sure....a liberal offended?

Nooooooooooo....

but as soon as liberal leftists that rabidly support the cult of evolution start kicking dogs and sporting swastikas...I'll most certainly keep you in mind! ;)

He isn’t- it’s more important ot him that people view him as religious- the outside appearing clean, whiel hte inside rejects the word of God

clean and inarticulate.

That’s funny! Using the word “inarticulate” in an oblique reference to me, yet in a direct response to that Strunk and White standard CottShop! Irony can be so entertaining!

Well, we see you understand articulate in much the same way you understand Christianity.

And the obligaotry projections, this time about irony and providing entertainment...

Two thumbs up bucket-o-poo!

Coldwater does the same thing with his 6000 year old earth obsessions.

Liberals are helpless like that.

Where have you acknowledged the Christianity of Catholics who follow Catholic doctrine? Failure to do so is disdain and contempt. Now, come on! Entertain me!

“Liberals are helpless like that.”

Wait—is this a political argument of a religious argument?

I never seperated ‘catholics from Christians’ I seperated Catholic Doctrine from bible beleiving Doctrine-

Setting Catholic doctrine in opposition to belief in the Bible is sure as heck separating Catholics from Christians. Quoting a site named "Jesus is Lord" that calls Catholic doctrine blasphemy is sure as heck separating Catholics from Christians. Bigots always find an excuse for blaming the objects of their bigotry, so you're not alone in that. Thanks for the glimpse of your twisted little soul--it's always good to know what kind of people one is dealing with.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I have a few questions.

The directions call for salting the sliced eggplant and putting them in a cool place for 30 minutes (fridge). Then rinsing them. Will they darken like cut potatoes when not in water? I considered putting them in salt water instead.

Also, how long do I let it stand after it comes out of the oven before cutting it? Or do I even need to? I usually do with lasagna.

And do I need to spray the pan with no-stick beforehand? I'm thinking that's a lot of cheese - it's gonna stick.

Anyhow, thanks for the recipe! I'm looking forward to cooking it! And eating it too!!

They will not change color. The eggplant does not have hydroquinone like apples and potatoes so it won’t discolor. The salt will draw out some of the natural bitters of the eggplant and preserve it’s crispness.

You shouldn’t have to cut them at all. The recipe allows for them to be served as individual slices. That’s why you carefully place your cheeses directly on each one in a single layer. You won’t need to PAM the baking dish since you are placing a 1/2 layer of marinara in the bottom prior to putting the slices in. Any cheese that melts over the sides will float in the sauce soaking up that extra goodness. :)

[[Bigots always find an excuse for blaming the objects of their bigotry,]]

Lol- there tyou go again- blaming everyone but hte guilty party again- I hear Van Jones is looking for an apprentice- you’d fit right in

And just for hte record, there ARE saved Catholics, and even catholic churches that break from traditional Catholic doctrine and actually DO follow the bible with some minor doctrinal differences which certainly don’t even begin to compare with the far out doctrinal beliefs of the catholic church ‘proper’- so NO- I am NOT seperating Catholics from Christians- some idneed ARE Christians who aren’t trying to earn their way to heaven- they have trusted, beleived, and obeyed God’s word and accepted Christ as Lord and Savior- and asked forgiveness of hteir sins- SOMWE Catholic churches ARE returnign to the sound doctrines of the bible and AWAY from the man-imposed doctrines which contradict the bible-

[[so you’re not alone in that.]]

you sir obviously are sp hell bent on anger toward TRUE Christians who trust God’s word ,that you constantly and intentionally ytwist what is said, in order to support you “Fundies suck’ mentality- thanks for the look into your twisted little soul

[[Sorry, but being too stupid or lazy to do the necessary research yourself is not equivalent to the need for a designer!]]

Woooooooosh- That’s the sound of the issue and hte facts flying directly over your head spanky

[[(Though AIG says you shouldn’t used the Micro vs. macro argument anymore.)]]

I don’t care what AIG says abotu htis issue- I don’t agree with everythign they espouse- however I DO care what the evidnece shows- We KNOW microevolution is fact- it’s demonstratable, and repeatable- however we also KNOW that micro and macroeovlution are two entirely different biological processes- the one factual, the other, macro- is biologically impossible, and is nothign more than an assumption that lacks scientific support- Mutations can not produce new non species specific info NEEDED for movign a species beyond it’s own KIND

The evidnece for the NEED for a designer is lal around you- Even the complex clotting of mammals shows the NEED for a designer, as Miller- in his silly attempt to ‘prove that clotting could evolve’ proved when he was forced to INTELLIGENTLY DESIGN a ‘natural process’ by which higher compelxity clotting could occure’- He evidnetly couldn’t realize his mistake, and proposed processes that are BIOLOGICALLY IMPOSSIBLE, and artificially controlled in order to ‘bring about higher complexity clotting’ lol-

There’s plenty of evidneceo f hte NEED- Demski’s site list plenty- knock yerself out

[[Wow. A very fast scan shows 21 spelling/typo errors.]]

wow- a very fast annalysis shows a silyl aobsession with spelling

[[Please provide me one of these “oplenty evidences” for “irreducible complexity.”]]

I told youwhere to look for plenty of evidnece- there’s several other excellent websites dedicated to examining the biological evidneces that show the NEED for an intelligent designer- spend your days doignsomethign that will save your soul instead of demandign everyoen do your homework for you-

[[Perhaps you can start there, as we are the most perfectly designed creatures I’d assume.]]

we are? Where is it written anywhere that a perfect God had to produce a perfection species? (hint- there ARE reasons for imperfection that have to do with exposing hte TRUE intent of a person’s soul and attitudes towards their creator- will they, or won’t they accept God DESPITE the fact that sin and pain exist? Will they ONLY accept God IF everythign is perfect? IF so- what kidn of fickle love is that? certainly isn’t TRUE love for our Creator- Amazing how pain fertilizes the REAL heart’s attitudes and devotions (Note- selfish peopel often leave when hte going gets tough)
