Despite the cleverness of phrases about people who "happen to have money," very few people just happen to have money. Most people earned their money by supplying other people with goods or services that those people were willing to pay for.
No matter how much money you have, it is possible to run through it in short order. So I would go so far as to say that even the lottery winner doesn't "happen to have money." At least, not for long.
And, BTW, the lottery winner who arguably does "just happen" to have money is the last person that the "liberal" will go after for having it. The person who works, scrimps, and saves to get it? That, to the "liberal," is a different matter entirely.

I have a new reason to object to government health care: Thomas Sowell might need the best medical care the world has to offer - and if he needs that care - it needs to be available.

The Left’s politics of envy and covetousness violate the Commandments. That’s why they so hate Judaism and Christianity and want to silence eliminate them.

More is at stake than the outcomes of medical decisions, extremely important as those are. What is also at stake is freedom and the dignity of individuals who do not live their lives as supplicants of puffed-up power holders who are spending the money taken from them in taxes.Amen. Why do our lives have to be about them, and what they want ? They aren't.

Good read ...
Thank you for posting Sowell’s articles.
One of my favorites.
