MODERATOR: For years, the world has seen reality distorted, facts manipulated, and truth hidden.

BECK: America, I am uh,
I’m going to go on vacation, uh next week.
But when I come back, we have um,
We have quite a week of uh, shows to do for you.
We’ve been working on them for a while,
and I’m going to be introducing you to uh,
what I think is really going on in this country.
Methodically lay it out
and then show how to fight it.

Stand up.
Know what you’re dealing with.

I’ve been telling you for a while,
"Something is NOT RIGHT with the direction the country is headed in, now."
I think I know what it is, and it evolves around some of these Czars.
Well now, there’s something else that has been bothering me for a while
and, lo and behold, we’ve got a new Czar.
Radio is under attack by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). I told you before,
"Pay no attention to the Fairness Doctrine. It’s not going to happen."
But this man is the FCC NEW CHIEF Diversity Officer.
When I say "NEW CHIEF Diversity Officer,"
I didn’t know if they had an old one.
His name is Mark Lloyd.
He wants private broadcasters to pay LICENSING FEES,
listen to this,
LICENSING FEES EQUAL TO THEIR TOTAL OPERATING COST.
And, if they’re a conservative radio station,
they could receive a CRIPPLING Two Hundred and FIFTY Million-Dollar Fine.
All that money will be used to fund Public Broadcasters,
like NPR
who are competitors of these private broadcasters.
The man trying to silence FREE SPEECH IN AMERICA in Washington is Seton Motley.

He’s the Director of Communications at the, uh, Media Research Center.
Seton, tell me a little bit about the man,
uh, what is his name, uh, our new Czar Lloyd.

MOTLEY: MARK LLOYD. He is a FORMER Senior Fellow at the GEORGE SOROS funded, John Podesta run "Center for American Progress."
Man, people remember John Podesta from the Bill Clinton days.
He was also a Chief Obama Transition Team Czar, so to speak.
Uh, Mark Lloyd as a Senior Fellow there, co-wrote a pi.., a uh, a paper there in June 2007 entitled "The Structural Imbalance of Political Talk Radio".
Now first of all, this report is flawed
because it completely excluded Public Radio, from their survey.

BECK: Of course they did. That’s just fair. (Disgusted looks)

MOTLEY: And then they ... That’s just fair (disgust).
And because he’s looking at it from a market saturation standpoint.
And as you know, in many large cities, with a, with any number of, El ..,
Los Angeles for example, has a number of, has at least three Public Broadcasting Stations on the radio.
They get more than 100 percent market share.
But they, but that doesn’t count as market domination.
It’s only for private ownership.

But this report is frightening on how it wants to enforce the localism,
the media diversity rules of the FCC, which are very nebulas as they are written.
And therefore, up to the enforcement interpretation of whoever is doing the enforcing.
And now, this guy Mark Lloyd is doing the enforcing and ...

BECK: Okay. How long ...

MOTLEY: People have forgot ...

BECK: Well first of all, who was our last Diversity...
what is it? Chief uh, Chief Diversity?



MOTLEY: Chief Diversity Officer.

BECK: Who was the last one at FCC?

MOTLEY: That’s an interesting question.
I have a friend who’s been working there for years,
and that person doesn’t recall this position ever existing before.

BECK: Huh.

MOTLEY: Most amazing. This position.

BECK: That’s interesting. Okay.

MOTLEY: This may be a new Czar, in and of itself.

BECK: Okay. So we have this guy.
He wants to force private broadcasters to fund Public Broadcasters DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR.
So, if I understand this right, help me out, he is saying

whatever the gross operating budget is for every private radio station,
every year, they will have to pay a fee equal to that, uhm, to get their license for a year.


MOTLEY: Right.
To get their license from the FCC,
and of course, that money goes to fund stations with whom they then have to compete.

BECK: Let me ask you,

MOTLEY: Uh, okay.

BECK: Let me, let me ask you this?
What Company in America can take ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of their operation budget
and PAY IT AS A TAX and survive?

MOTLEY: Well, uh,
and then, and then, and then say
"Okay,. Now let’s start doing business."
It’s impossible.

BECK: IMPOSSIBLE!

MOTLEY: Impossible. ... It’s literally impossible.

BECK: Okay.

MOTLEY: It’s literally impossible.

BECK: Okay. I want to take a break, and when we come back,
There’s, there’s more to this, America.

MOTLEY: Much more...

BECK: There is much more to this. Radio under attack, next.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

BECK: America, I am here to announce the birth of a new Czar.
This one at the FCC.
Back again is Seton Motley of the Media Research Center.

Seton, there is a part here that I,
it’s CANNOT be right.
Uh, Lloyd suggest fining conservative radio stations up to TWO HUNDERD AND FIFTY MILLION DOLLARS
and giving the proceeds to the government subsidized Corporation of Public Broadcasting.

MOTLEY: Well that’s isn’t it.

BECK: That CANNOT be right.

MOTLEY: That’s not exactly right.
Well, that’s an estimated total of what the operating cost are,
for somebody like Premiere Broadcasting,
who syndicates several large talk show host, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity among them.
Uh, the fine, this is,
that’s just an extrapolation of the fine we’ve been discussing,
which is DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR for the, uh, annual operating cost.

BECK: Okay.

MOTLEY: Just to be clear ...

BECK: Okay. So it’s not,
it’s not, it’s not a fine IF YOU’RE A CONSERVATIVE, uh, RADIO STATION?
,br> MOTLEY: No. He does have,
he has laid out a road map for liberal activist
to attack conservative ... , oh, Conservative and Christian Talk Stations, however.

BECK: Okay.

MOTLEY: Uh, you said, "Forget,"
you said, "Forget the Fairness Doctrine?"
A month after his report came out, he wrote an essay called "Forget the Fairness Doctrine."

BECK: (Shaking his head “No”) I’m telling ya’.

MOTLEY: ... In which, he lays out a way
for liberal activists to use the FCC
by threatening their licensees,
if they don’t, uh,
if they're politically, uh, opposed to what they’re saying on the air.

BECK: (Shaking his head “NO”) I think it’s all localism like I SAID.
This is the way they’re going to go.

MOTLEY: And media diversity... And media diversity.

BECK: Yeah. Yeah. They’re going to take it,
they’ll take those licenses
and they’ll keep everybody AFRAID TO PUT ANYTHING ON THE AIR.
If they do put something on the air, somebody can challenge it.
They can take that license away from them at the end of the year
and give it to some ... ACORN-like group, or some,
you know, some, some minority group,
and then you’ve lost that radio station.

MOTLEY: Right, and then it’s...

BECK: Voices like mine, Seton, v ... voices ...

MOTLEY: It’s Freddie Mac..

BECK: Go ahead.

MOTLEY: It’s Freddie Mac and Fanny Mae for the radio industry, is what it is.

BECK: (Sigh) First of all, how long before you think this could come to fruition?
He’s there.
He, uh, doesn’t have to be confirmed or anything.
He’s there. It’s happened.

MOTLEY: He, He started work on July 29th, unless I’m mistaken.
Yes, he’s, he uh,
he stands waiting to take their calls.
However, there’s a,
there’s a Supreme Court decision in the Nineties called the "Ateran Decision"which said you can’t, you couldn’t set aside, uh, contracts for minority business owners.

And now, that’s being looked at
as applicable to setting aside licenses for minority broadcast stations.

So he’s going to have to go into 'research mode' to overcome the Supreme Court, uh, law
that’s been set against doing this
strictly based on racial decisions.
So he’s got a little bit of work to do.

BECK: Okay.

MOTLEY: But believe me, don’t, ...

BECK: Oh no...

MOTLEY: Don’t, don’t think that he’s not working on it.

BECK: Oh no, they’ll,
I mean they’ll uh, they’ll get this done.
Broadcasters like me,
I mean if you take ..
you know, Rush makes ... a bazillion dollars a year.
Premiere would have to step to the plate and say,
"Okay, you pay Rush a bazillion dollars a year, AND
you pay the Federal Government that same bazillion dollars."
With my salary, then it’s like a bazillion and ten dollars.
Uh, and uh,
so then you would to,
you, they would have to,
that would WIPE those people out.
There’s just no way they could ever do it. So ...

MOTLEY: It’s an ..

BECK: MOTLEY: It’s an, it’s an assault on,
it’s an assault on the radio industry
to affect an ideological outcome.

BECK: What happens to free...

MOTLEY: That’s it.

BECK: What happens to FREE SPEECH in America?

MOTLEY: That’s IRRELEVANT to these people.

BECK: Is this, uh,
do you know anything about this guy?
Is he a uhm, ... Socialist, Marxist?
What, what is his ideals?
Uh, I got to, uhm ...

MOTLEY: Well .. he is definitely...

BECK: I tell you what.
I’m being told we’re out of time.

Why do you think Obama wants a UNIVERSAL CITIZEN SERVICE?
It's a way around

I just re-read the book...

I have been on a recycle mode over the last year or so...I go thru some of my favorites more and more often...

- Atlas Shrugged
- Unintended Consequences
- Matt Bracken’s (Enemies trilogy)
- Rawles (Patriot)
- Jeff Head’s novels
- I snuck in Mark Levin’s new book as well
- Alas Babylon (I read it the first time when I was 12 yrs old; yeah so my Dad was a genuis, he made me read it)

Maybe it appears I’m driving my blood pressure up when I read these things, but I find myself sleeping better, I am a bit more confident that in the end we will prevail...

I do get up in the middle of the night and post my ramblings here in this website, but it makes me feel better...And if anyone dissagrees with me or tells me I am wrong...No big deal, I appreciate the corrections...

If we lost our conservative talk radio, and other TV programs we like to watch tomorrow, I think we’ll still be ok...We already know where we stand...We know who will be responsible for this,and for them to believe they will not be accountable for their actions...

hehehe, we can still toss them so hard onto the street that the next wannabe Obamanite will feel it...

I hope they don’t pull this trigger, because if they believe they are above reproach...Boy, will there be a lot of surprised liberal (statists) out there very soon...

I understand - the world's getting a little more chaotic... I have checking accounts at three banks. Two out of the three have failed this year. The FDIC worked things, covered, and no one lost money - but it's a disquieting feeling. Like we're losing control of our world...
