Not everyone is aware of who Richard Linzen is, so for the uninformed, he was on the first publicized panel of the IPCC in 1992(?), a major expert contributor, until he came to see that it was a zealot advocacy
political group.
He bailed.
Fortunately, he has been heavily engaged in fighting the culture of ignorance ever since.
