Medical Murder: Why Obamacare Could Result in the Early Deaths of Millions of Baby Boomers
WhistleBlower Magazine (WorldNetDaily) ^ | August 2009 | Richard Poe

Imagine lying in some government-run hospital, hospice or nursing home many years from now. Imagine languishing unattended for days in soiled sheets, suffering from hunger and thirst, covered with bed sores, your flesh aboil with untreated infections. Imagine living in fear of resentful, underpaid health aides who take out their anger on you and abuse you. And imagine spending your final moments on earth in the company of a government health care worker with a syringe, who injects you with a lethal cocktail.

President Obama’s health proposals have the potential to turn this nightmare into a reality for millions of Americans.

Especially vulnerable are the 80 million baby boomers born between 1946 and 1964. That generation has been targeted for a program of age-based medical rationing such as our country has never before experienced. [...]

Cutting costs by letting people die

President Obama has promised huge cuts in medical spending -- up to $700 billion, or 30 percent, annually. If we fail to make such cuts, he says, we will face financial Armageddon.

“[T]he cost of our health care is a threat to our economy,” Obama told the American Medical Association in Chicago on June 15. “It is a ticking time bomb for the federal budget.”

A 30-percent annual cut is going to take a big bite out of somebody’s health care. The only question is whose.

There won't be nursing homes, hospice or even senior subsidized housing as we know it today.

The devils in the details, America. READ THE BILL!

Here’s an interesting factoid from Dr. Zeke Emanuel posted earlier on FR.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2287233/posts

Ezekiel Emmanuel MD, Rahm Emmanuel’s brother, is “Special Advisor for Health Policy” to the Office of Management and Budget ( Peter Orszag), is described by the Huffington Post article as engaged in a very important mission: redesigning the US health care system.

The left is about to chime in with words like, “fearmongering.” Well, it isn’t as if freedom-loving Americans have nothing to fear here. The premise that government ought to be involved with creating jobs and making health decisions is false. Government has shown itself to be a detriment to both.

It sort of stands to reason that if your mind is right politically, then maybe you get an upgrade from 4th or 5th class health care to maybe 2nd class care. Certainly not to the level of our dear, esteemed leaders, but then again certainly better than evil far right wing extremists.

Early Deaths of Millions of Baby Boomers

Many of us have long said that government health care was designed to be the solution to the Social Security funding problem.

Who could forget Democrat Richard Lamm's "the seriously ill old people have a duty to die and get out of the way." (paraphrasing).

It's tempting - very tempting, isn't it?

We pull the plug and the same generation that gave us boomers like Barack Obama, Al Franken, and Barry Manilow just disappears? Just like that? Adios?

Hmmmmmm. I'm thinking.....I'm thinking.

lol!

That is that possibility.. Considering how whining and childish they both are, nothing but the best will suit them. Won’t they be surprised when they are told they are second best at best. So much for the people’s struggle in their case.

The elderly are the first to go, the baby boomers will be refused early detection services until it is to late, setting the stage for the underclass and the illegals who will have first priority over everyone else. They will be given control with the help of our communist leaders. Do you remember a time when someone would come up with a lunatic conspiracy theory like this and you would laugh out loud and call him crazy? Not so anymore, uh!

All folks need to do is look at the Remmelick Report from the Netherlands in the early 1990s. It showed that one out of 5 "mercy killings" were done there ILLEGALLY, with a number of patients being mercifully "killed" against their wishes.

If anyone wants to complain that this is a "right wing" disinformation campaign, they are welcome to look at the source. Heck, the UNITED NATIONS was involved in exposing this!

Logan's Run, people....Logan's Run.

Don't think it won't come here? Guess again. Britian's been dangling the "passive euthansia" carrot infront of their country since 2000. Google "euthanasia" and "England" and start reading the UK papers!

Probably just a way to reduce the Social Security payments... Let the elderly go a bit early and save money.

Actually, I don’t think that the elderly should be hogging all the Medicare money anyway - What is another 2-3 years anyway... living in pain or with limited movement, limited eyesight, limited hearing, etc... Wow, am I a pessimist or what... and I am one of those that need those benefits.

I’m, 64 and would gladly give up a few years for the hope of the younger generation - including my son... I actually think that most of use elderly would do the same...

Who could forget Democrat Richard Lamm's "the seriously ill old people have a duty to die and get out of the way."

And now the very same media flacks, lib politicians & commentators who've been been trying so hard to convince us for years now that euthanasia is such a supremely noble act, that the only people who have a problem with it are a small minority of backward ignorant religious fanatics, and those who would euthanize others such as Jack Kervorkian & Michael Schiavo are nothing less than latter day saints are now trying to convince us that the very big-government hacks now trying to forcibly take over the medical industry & for whom they shill so unashamedly for would nonetheless never even dream now of doing such a newly re-designated horrible thing to us shouuld they gain control of the very same plug they've been saying for years should be yanked on anybody they say it should be yanked on.

Yeah, right. Make up your mind, media.

The American people created this nightmare. I know it is a tough thing to say. I remember in 1977 my poli sci class was discussing the demographic changes and the problems with social security and medicare/medicaid and how it would impact our national debt. A few brave politicians tried to offer reforms and the elderly becamed frightened by the facts and will vote with any opposition that will drown out rational arguments and fiscal math. Now our day of reckoning has come. 58 trillion worth of social security and medicare/medicaid obligations on the US taxpayer, plus another 14 trillion in obligations to stabilize the banks/insurance companies. The government in a depression forced to borrow from overseas to keep this system going when it is already dead. The only hope left for the US government to repay the overseas financiers and preserve future borrowing is to jettison the elderly as one of the means for national fiscal survival and preserving the US dollar as a reserve currency (with it US influence in the world). Behind the scenes cheering this effort is multi national corporations whose financial health is chained to the fortunes of the US dollar which is losing value every day. Freepers, welcome to 21st Century America where national bankruptcy caused by past foolishness will first claim the elderly and the disable. Next it will be the standard of living of middle America leaving only the poor and rich. No matter who is POTUS, the economic/financial fate of America has been sealed 30 years ago when WE as a people refused to face up to the looming financial diseaster. My only advice to freepers is by now you should own a gun, stockpile ammo, food, water, cash and precious metals for the chaos to come. You should also have in the back of your mind which country you may want to emigrate to that is next to the US. My choice is Canada. The future is no longer about the survival of capitalism but the survival of my family and future generations from the fall of America.

Heh. Rethink away.

They’ll have it PERFECTED when your turn comes...cuz come it will.

This is all SO unnecessary....my own Dad is in a nursing home right now...getting GREAT treatment...we won’t, nor will your generation. (assuming, of course, you’re not a boomer yourself).

Thanks, Plangent.

I'm not allowed to post the entire 7,000 words of my Whistleblower article here, but below is a small excerpt from it which touches on Dr. Emmanuel and his age-weighted rationing policies:

QUOTE FROM WHISTLEBLOWER ARTICLE FOLLOWS:

In a Jan. 31 article in the British medical journal Lancet, Emmanuel advised steering health dollars toward the young and fit, specifically those between the ages of 15 and 40, while reducing health spending for the elderly.

Weirdly, Emmanuel -- along with his co-authors Govind Persad and Alan Wertheimer -- made a special point of arguing that age-weighted medical rationing does not violate the rules of political correctness. They wrote:

"“Unlike allocation by sex or race, allocation by age is not invidious discrimination … Even if 25-year-olds receive priority over 65-year-olds, everyone who is 65 years now was previously 25 years. Treating 65-year-olds differently because of stereotypes or falsehoods would be ageist; treating them differently because they have already had more life-years is not.”

In other words, if we decided to let the elderly die because we think of them in “stereotypical” terms – say, if we thought of them as useless old dodderers – we would be guilty of “ageism.” However, if we let them die for a “good” reason – for example, because we decide that they have already had their chance at life, and now it’s time to give someone else a chance – then letting them die is perfectly OK.

In Emanuel’s view, letting old people die is not the problem. The problem is finding the right words to justify it.

END QUOTE FROM WHISTLEBLOWER ARTICLE
