I care a lot about AARP. They brainwash and entertain members and spend their dues to keep the seniors worked up. Worse, they are one of the most insidious lobbys in DC.

When I was 50, my mom bought be an AARP membership as a surprise b-day present. I never renewed it. I'm 62 today and they still send the magazine and other mail. I usually read it to see what they're up to. Plus, I figure they are incurring costs taking away from the bribery pot.

I have a friend who goes to the annual convention. Great entertainment and socisl stuff, according to her. She desn't have a clue what the organization is doing.
