Take that, "birthers," said Eric Kleefeld in Talking Points Memo. The House of Representatives has just passed a bill recognizing the 50th anniversary of Hawaii's statehood and noting the state as President Obama's birthplace. The 378-0 vote was a "none-too-subtle jab at the Birthers"who claim Obama wasn't really born in the U.S. and therefore isn't eligible to be president. And the real insult came when Rep. Bill Posey, sponsor of the "infamous Birther Bill," and other Republican sympathizers cast their votes for the language recognizing Obama as a natural-born citizen.
It's true that "a few misguided souls among the Right" have indulged this birther "foolishness," said National Review in an editorial, but "the birth-certificate business is not a uniquely conservative phenomenon." The claim that Obama was born in Kenya appears to have originated with a pro-Hillary Clinton blog during the presidential primaries. "Barack Obama may prefer European-style socialized health care," but "he was born in the U.S.A."
Sympathetic House Republicans and the National Review aren't the only conservatives abandoning the nutty birthers, said Alex Koppelman in Salon. Fox News' Bill O'Reilly has slammed birthers (watch), and even the infamous rightwing pundit Ann Coulter has withheld her support (watch). When even "some of the conservative movement's most notorious and recognizable media personalities" are denouncing these loonies, it must be getting pretty lonely on "the Birther crazy train."
They’ve looked at the BC issue with the same meticulous fervor that they have examined the Deathcare bill.
My thoughts exactly. Have a gutsy reporter ask him why those are sealed and, by the way, where donations can be made to benefit the hospital of his birth.
Yep, he has a paper trail that he has hidden, for excellent reasons no doubt.
He has associated with dubious and electorally poisonous people, which many people have rightly considered clues as to his true character. These documents would have made his thinking plain and cleared away all the smoke he has been spewing to obscure that.
We should be far more concerned about whats in his mind than where he was born or whats in his genes.
The law since 1795 has been that if you were born overseas and both your parents were US citizens, you were a citizen at birth.
What a shame that he can't make up his mind what hospital he was born in. You never did respond after asserting that he's always claimed the same one......when he hasn't
I wonder if anyone has ever gone over Frank Marshall Davis’s writings with a fine-toothed comb? Any references to the existence of a certain little boy? Can we match dates to whereabouts? It would be interesting to cross reference FMD’s writings with Obama’s two autobios.
enter most anything in this space, and that my FRiend is the reality of our 'representation'...
Then let’s quit asking where is the Birth Certificate, and start asking Who is He? We know nothing about Him for a fact, except He lives in OUR White House.
Wasn’t Obama’s mother unmarried at the time he was born?
Bingo! Obama's whole "amazing rise to power" is suspicious, especially given the corrupt political environment he evolved in (Chicago). And esp. now that the Chicago Machine is so entrenched in the White House.
******
I feel that the Representatives "acted stupidly" by signing the bill without first demanding proof that Obama was even born in the United States.
I think that the Representatives who signed such a bill will regret it later.
For instance, during the 2010 Representative campaigns, I see voters confronting Representatives by asking them how they could possibly in good conscience sign such a bill without first demanding proof that Obama was born in the United States.
So close, that not a single member of the House Republicans voted against a bill that states that Obama was born in Hawaii.

Typically you admire such gutlessness due to you unimaginative narrow minded thinking. So you are a dullard
But they are irrelevant
The day of reckoning comes closer
I don't believe that anyone has a definitive answer. That doesn't change that his father was a Kenyan.
You are correct that it doesn’t change the fact that his father was Kenyan, but it does impact on whether or not he is a citizen.
A woman married to a foreigner whose child is born outside the USA has different requirements than someone who is not married.
Don’t forget that Obeyme admitted to dual citizenship through his Kenyan daddy on his website.
And that doesn’t even address Indonesia. Maybe that’s where he got his “citizen of the world” schtick.
I am not about to forget that! He freely admits his dual citizenship and hence his ineligibility to be president. Then he distracts everyone with the birth certificate etc.
If this ever gets to court, he will claim that the majority of the people voted for him knowing full well about this, and hence he is qualified because the majority of the US citizens belive he is a NBC.
You may be right. I hope not but...........
I would love to be wrong.
