No. But her statement was written by lawyers, not her.

Was this a public (oral) statement, a press release, a telephone interview or what?

If she really wanted to put a nail in the coffin of the birthers, she could have told everyone what hospital 0bama was born in. That wouldn't be revealing any personal information, since he's already told us, right?

Yes, her statement was written by lawyers and politicians. I and many others on FR have been predicting this for a while. I'll stress again that birth in Hawaii is not the issue. The issue is natural born citizenship. Most people don't realize, many don't accept, that our founders required not only birth on our soil, but birth by parents who are its citizens. Obama fails that requirement. It is not a secret, though Obama supporters are busy trying to obscure the fact.

I have referred a number of people to a paper written by a lawyer for the law firm, Franklin & Ellis, representing both Obama and McCain on a number of issues. The paper, written by Sarah Herlihy for Chicago-Kent Law Review in 2005, reviewed in 2006 was scrubbed from the Kent Law site, but it was available at ScribD www.scribd.com/doc/12873456/Amending-the-Natural-Born-Citi...rah-p-Herlihy-Feb-22-2006
(I cannot tell, having apparently been blocked from ScribD - that's a first! - for referring people to the site). The association with McCain, which may be entirely innocent, is that Kirkland & Ellis partner, Christopher Landau, was on the McCain Justice Advisory Committee.

I can still read, and so can you. The definition of Natural Born, as verified by the Senate in 2008, is born on our soil and parents who are citizens. The birth certificate, as Leo Donofrio pointed out long ago, is probably a red herring.

Did Obama have a aunt that was a judge in Hawaii?
