That case seems to indicate that it is different if the unwed father is the US citizen than if the unwed mother is the US citizen. In Baraks case the unwed mother being a US citizen would be in his favor.

I have always wondered about his Indonesian citizenship after he was adopted by his step father. Indonesia does not permit dual citizenship so he would have had to renounce his citizenship. Would that cause issues?

Yes, the case is about an unwed father. The reason I sent it to you is because the law is discussed in the case.

It was harder for a US Citizen father than a mother and thus the argument ....

But the case shows you that the law was ONE YEAR for unwed mother. So Obama is a US citizen if born in Kenya. He is a UK citizen if born in Kenya.

My argument is that he is a lawyer and knows the law. HE could not have been given UK citizen if born in the US because it was an illegal marriage. He was born illegitimate unless Ann got married in Kenya.

There was a lot of lying going on in that family.

As for Indonesia..that is a whole other ballgame and one that I have not researched. His history is a mess and one that SCOTUS will probably not touch.
