According to a friend (A Black Minister from Chicago to be exact) that this was the case. He did have a problem with the whole Black enough question.

Darn right. Don't you remember the song parody, "Barack, the Magic Negro"? It featured Paul Shanklin doing an Al Sharpton imitation—fulminating that Obama wasn't "black authentically like me." It echoed comments on the public record by the real Sharpton.

Yep. My friend did not equivocate in the least. She said that Black people did NOT see him as black enough. Not sort of thought that, she said that they absolutely thought that.
