The Major was told by his former boss that DSS had basically insisted on his firing.

Thats a law breaking decision on the part of DSS.

Why?

If you work as a contractor, you don't have the same recourse as other wise.

From what I have read on other sites, his security clearance was pulled by DSS. So by the terms of the contract, he can no longer work on what ever he was working on that needed said clearance. That is DSS’s decision, and is part of the contract.

The article even says his (the Major's) boss is trying to find something else, but that there isn't anything at the moment.
