Actually that is exactly what they are. All Islamic separatists/sharia loving Muslims are our enemies.
How about any group who wants independence gets it? Lets just break up countries to please everyone. Good thinking.

Actually, that's been happening with colonial empires all through the 20th century. Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Croatia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia and Armenia are just some of the examples in Europe. In East Asia alone, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Burma and Singapore are all countries that became independent in the 20th century. The one common thread in the independence of these countries, East and West, is that they were set free by Western countries that were either uninterested in ruling them or not prepared to use exterminationist policies to quell revolts. The Chinese have no scruples in either regard.
The ancestors of the Uighurs were Tibetan-style Buddhists, and shamanists before that. Would these ancestors have wanted to keep them independent from their Chinese colonial rulers? Heck, yeah!
