Uighurs are not Islamic separatists, any more than the Poles were Catholic separatists when they seceded from Russia after WWI. The reality is that Caucasian Uighurs and Mongoloid Chinese are of different races and nationalities. Just because Uighurs are Muslim does not mean that the atrocities of Chinese colonialists are to be indulged, and that East Turkistan does not deserve to be independent. The Uighurs are not our enemy. I don't think any of the Turkic nations (most of Central Asia's stans) is. They're just not wired that way.

How about any group who wants independence gets it? Lets just break up countries to please everyone. Good thinking.
Exactly. We are not at war with Muslims. We are at war with radical jihadists. The same jihadists who Russia, China, Chavez and the commie left are allied with.
