Well, that’s unfortunate. There are times when her down home charms can be seen in this light, if you want to be hyper critical. I sure don’t see her that way.
There is a question I keep asking myself from time to time, and up until Friday morning I had simply refused to answer it in a negative manner.
“Do I like Sarah Palin because of her political savvy and intellectual prowess, or am I just desperate to see someone with her inner core and spark run for the Presidency?”
Sarah’s core values are solid IMO. I don’t think she got everything right, but her heart is in the right place. That means a lot to me. When she made one comment about illegal immigration I didn’t care for, it certainly put my radar on notice. I’d certainly like to see that clarified. Other than those concerns, and I don’t consider any of them a deal breaker other than the immigration issue, I’m still in her camp even though I think she just made it nearly impossible for her to do what I had hoped she would.
If Beckett is off the reservation and perhaps he is, I still think it’s best to confront him on the issues. Hell, I’m sure many folks here think I’m a D.U. plant right now.
Sometimes laying it on the line like you see it isn’t very popular.
I always thought you were from DailyKos. ;^)
Btw, I agree with you about Palin making a huge mistake in stepping down. OTOH, Dick Nixon made a comeback after his '62 debacle against Pat Brown.
