I have not been here as long as you have, but in the time I have spent on the forum, there is a very visible uptick in the infiltrators and frankly saboteurs, whose primary goal is to make Free Republic appear racist and annoy enough conservatives on the site that we call it quits.

At first the trolls were 'individual' cases. People with something to 'prove'.
Now they are government-payed assassins. We addressed power, and it's corruption, now power recognizes us and wants us to shut up, and they are willing to pay for it.
But, it's still not 'new'.
The problem is that it may become dominant.
