Boehner's Bloodhounds 'The Stimulus Isn't Working' (New Video)

The new jobs report is set to be released this morning and given the expected 300-400,000 additional jobs lost in the month of June alone, Republican leaders thought they’d get a bloodhound to help them track down all of these stimulus jobs the President keeps telling us he saved or created. The President gave his mission accomplished-style announcement yesterday saying the stimulus had done its job. The only thing missing was a banner that said “Economy Stimulated” stretched across the Treasury Department as a backdrop.

Given that the stimulus has done its job and the mission is accomplished, all of these created jobs should be very easy to find.

Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio), the House Republican Leader today released a new web video targeting Washington Democrats’ trillion-dollar “stimulus” bill and asking “where are the jobs?” The tongue-in-cheek web video, inspired by a classic 1984 TV commercial by now-Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), features a job-sniffing GOP bloodhound named Ellie Mae and a down-home voiceover by Rep. Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA).

It did. Obama borrowed hundreds of billions of dollars from the Chinese, making us and our children and grandchildren their vassals, while allowing him to pass out the cash to his political allies. Nothing about getting jobs there.

In some major cities total unemployment is in excess of 20 percent. That is as large as during Roosevelt's Great Depression. Sadly, we don't have Al Capone to provide the soup kitchens for them and I suspect that selling apples on the street corners would run into trouble from the food workers UNIONS!

Please do not misread this post. I am not supporting the stimulus spending. But, only about 10-15% of the spending has occurred. They are not going to release and spend the remainder of the money until late this year, or next year. This will make the recovery look robust during the lead up to the mid term elections. Right afterwards, inflation is going to hit like a hurricane.

Not only is not working, it isnt even spent yet. If we did nothing, we would have gotten out of this without it.

The RNC needs to send people out to interview those on the unemployemnt lines asking them if the “stimulas” funds have helped them yet? Ask questions like “if you had one thing to say to the President what would it be?” Do this for several months and then you have hours of good video commercials for 2010!

I agree with you. The dollar is being artificially propped up now. Soon not even President Purple Lips and his henchmen and behind the scenes strings pullers will be able to stop the free fall!! CO
