It’s not just the sexual organs that need these hormones, it’s the whole body. It certainly does make sense to bypass the liver, but in reality, injections are much more reliable and accurate than transdermal administration, and buttocks, hips, or abdomens are as good locations as any. But of course, many people are squeamish about giving themselves injections, and also the medical establishment and pharmaceutical companies that are trying to corner the market on hormone therapy would have a much easier time convincing the public and politicians that injectable treatments are scary and dangerous, than transdermal treatments.

Both pills and injections have the advantage of ensuring that the person the dose is intended for — and only that person — gets the whole dose. There was a scary case reported a couple of years back of a young boy who started showing some weird hormonal effects, which were eventually traced to his father’s transdermal testosterone treatments (NOT applied to his genitals) — apparently enough had been rubbing off on the boy in the course of ordinary father-son contact that the boy got the effects.

Well...yes....the whole Endocrine system is affected by or through or with Hormones.....which affects everything...heart, lungs, muscles, brain, etc...

I’ll take the creams, thanks....don’t want to deal with shots....had one doc offer me the “youth hormone” (can’t remember the name right now) through injections....NO THANKS.

Hormones applied to sexual areas get to the person they are intended for....as long as you avoid application before ...um....intimacy with your spouse. I don’t use the hormones on arms or thighs, etc....like Suzanne Somers....I’m surprised she does.
