Already have my flight and hotel reservations... Will see you all in DC on the 10th, but I do not arrive at Reagan until 5 PM EDT. I will be staying at the State Plazza Hotel at 2117 E Street, NW, Washington DC. Any of you going to be there?

Fight the power!
There I was, gawking like a country bumpkin, standing in the heart of the governmental and memorial districts in the nation's capitol. Everything was so beautiful it took my breath away.
In the one extra day I had planned for, I took in a small part of the Smithonian (saw the Declaration of Independence, it made me cry), saw memorials of all the wars, caught the famous changing of the guard at Arlington, got to see a special exhibit of John Singer Sargent at the Art Museum, a quick pass through the Museum of Modern art (the Warhols are good and fun, trust me) and the inside of the Senate (the chamber is smaller than you can imagine).
It was like a big buffet and you didn't know what to chose to eat, everything looks enticing, but your tummy isn't big enough....and I wished I had more time to take in the delights of this gleaming white city on a hill.

What about the “Push Back Until” event on 9/11? http://pushbackuntil.com. That (and subsequent events over the next few years) is how we will get Congress’ attention!

Hubby and I have already booked our room and were planning on coming on the 11th. We would like to be at the seminars on the 10th- how do we get tickets for that event?
When we first began planning our convention we had a goal to confirm 100 room by May 31.
As of five minutes ago this goal was met. Our 100th confirmed freeper is credo 2 (stand up and take a bow).
Please remember this does not mean we will not have room for you to attend the convention but we needed at least 100 rooms to book a block at a hotel to get the best rate.
