Ya know, this “truth commission” could really help us in the 2010 elections. I do not see how this is any kind of a win for democrats. I say bring it.
Good point. Personally, I don't think Nancy's demise is in our best interest. A lot of democrats don't like her and she's publicly breaking under the stress. She's a wonderful reason why voters should vote republican in 2010. Obama knows it too. He needs a reliable Speaker in there who will push for his agenda and look like Santa Claus when doing it. Steny Hoyer dresses and cleans up a lot better than Pelosi. Remember, it's about appearance.
Plus, Nancy's demise will spook a lot of dems. They see Obama's intimidation tactics, although they thought he'd be a pussy cat as president. Most of them are dirty, with the laundry to show for it. Bringing Nancy down is a wonderful way for Obama to get all the cooperation he needs. See, he really did bring a different tone to Washington, didn't he? No more bickering!
