Nancy Pelosi is accusing the C.I.A. of misleading the Congress regarding "waterboarding."
Totally agree. I think Lightman should have baked the guy some cookies, no? Definitely a lefty agenda, but the whole micro-expressions thing is very cool.
"I wasn't briefed, I was informed that somebody else had been briefed about it," she [Pelosi] said.
She sure was using her hands a lot while talking.
Did you hear her say she was fighting the war in Iraq at the time? I THOUGHT i heard that, but I can only tolerate her a few lies at a time.
Someone had better put this guy into protective custody, or he's going to have a bit of a blip in his career path?
Re: #130, that’s priceless.
Beckel was saying that when Pelosi started getting attacked it would cause a limited commission on torture to be expanded to include an entire commision of the Iraq war and everything...boy that will endear the Dem’s to the American people!
Beckel sounds even more shrill, cornered and desperate than Pelosi!
“Re: #130, thats priceless?”
what’s “priceless?” LOL
She sure did. This is getting good.
[if the LSM drive-bys can spin the DOW on their agenda of the day, I can too... and its fun!]
UMM sometimes when they have that much rope...it is just best to let them hang themselves... SNICKER!
YES!!!! I thought I heard that ... her first excuse that she was getting a new president elected ...
Oh yes- yes she did say that. SHE was fighting the war in Iraq at the time.
She’s possibly falling apart/losing it/having a nervous breakthrough...
Pelosi says she learned of waterboarding in 2003
Under strong attack from Republicans, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi accused the CIA and Bush administration of misleading her about waterboarding detainees in the war on terror and sharply rebutted claims she was complicit in its use.
“To the contrary ... we were told explicitly that waterboarding was not being used,” she told reporters, referring to a formal CIA briefing she received in the fall of 2002.
Pelosi said she subsequently learned that other lawmakers were told several months later by the CIA about the use of waterboarding.
“I wasn’t briefed, I was informed that somebody else had been briefed about it,” she said.

yes, Congress spending its time on public inquisitions about the Iraq war and the Intelligence Community will entertain SO many Americans who are either out of jobs and homes or heading that way...
funny how the CIA lied to Nancy but not to George Bush about WMD in Iraq ... someone find the golf course where George Tenet is today
Does this pelosi flea circus mean Congress might not get around to nationalizing healthcare and capping and taxing all forms of carbon in the USA by July 31st? the messiah will scowl
Perhaps they should release the briefing I would be very happy if they released the briefing, Pelosi added.”
A guest on the Glenn Beck show has filed a FOIA to get transcripts of EVERYTHING that took place and was said by Pelosi during these briefings. Don’t remember guest’s name or his affiliation.
ROFL! What a great pic - ha! Absolutely priceless!!
Pelosi: CIA Lied To Congress About Torture
Nancy Pelosi has accused the CIA of lying to Congress about torture.
In a press conference to respond to questions on what she knew and when about the Bush administration’s torture program, Pelosi said that she was explicitly told in her September 2002 briefing that waterboarding was not used. We’ve since learned that Abu Zubaydah had been waterboarded 83 times by then.
She accused the agency of “misleading the Congress of the United States.”
Referring to the CIA, Pelosi said: “Now they’re trying to say: ‘don’t put the spotlight on us, we told the Congress.’ Well, they didn’t tell us everything.”
Pelosi called on the CIA to release the briefings, so that people can see the evidence for themselves.
And she accused the Bush administration of misleading Congress every step of the way.
Yesterday we told you about a bevy of Democratic senators leveling the charge that the CIA released the document on torture briefings in order to deflect attention from the agency’s own role in carrying out the torture program. But Pelosi certainly took that a step further just now.
