Further, Texas can divide itself into 5 seperate states (at will) and the USA explictily does not get a voice in that decision. This is a benefit that Texas drove when the USA asked Texas to join the United States. Texas agreed, upon conditions laid out in their state constitution.”

You don't honestly think the US Government would like an agreement or the law get in the way of them keeping Texas in the Union even if the majority of its citizens voted to leave?

they’ve done it before in 1861-4, but I doubt they’d be sucessful again (Texas would).
